I will go EC +1/2 when shooting against bright sky to make sure I have detail in the bird. I will have to check if I used EC on this image

This is hand held, another reason for the higher shutter speed. The tripod goes in the car and I like the gimbal working for long periods at a location but this was end of the morning shooting and I didn't drag the tripod out in the field. |

I set my aperture wide open in Manual and the Shutter speed is what I adjust letting Auto ISO and Exposure compensation find the right exposure |

the F9 was likely as open as I could get on the lens. I may have tried to stop down to get a better depth of field. but this is a huge crop in and the higher shutter speed to keep sharp had the ISO through the roof. Probably stil too noisy for competition. |

What a cute subject. The red really pops and the aquamarine goes well with it. 60 percent maybe of the frame is the glass, I might try to crop in even tighter to bring the ladybug more prominence. |

Love those clouds! The sparkle from the sun is nice as well. I bounce between the pier and the tree so the photo doesn't quite work for me. |

Really feel part of the moment here. Nice use of 3 elements. I can see why you went with a dark background. Looks like solid diffuse lighting from upper left. I would try some different counters to see if I could have the sugar pop more. perhaps a butchers block tone to compliment the brownie color? |

Great colors, the light from behind is doing some great things on the flowers. I would focus there more than the field or the child. |

I like the feel of this black and white. I certainly conveys winter. I find the gate stops me from heading over the bridge a bit. |
