Priscilla, I like the nice way you emphasized the V shape of the eyes and the nose of the cat, but using the composition you did. Things seem sharp to me, but sometimes it's hard to tell on screen. I think I would like to have seen the end of the whiskers in the image, but they may have been so long as to mess up the composition. |

Patrick, nice image. I like the colors and the interesting uniqueness of the image with the little petal in foreground. My only suggestion might be to shot the flower in the lower left cross mark of the rule of thirds so that the flower faces into the center of the image rather than out. Nice focus and good, close idea for the flower. |

Murphy, Bark looks almost artificial, it is so perfect. I like the good focus, the use of shadows and the color combination. Just a nice image. |

Khai, as always, a beautifully sharp image. Nice blurring of the background and good color palet. Composition seems to work well also with lines coming in from the right to left. |

Lisa, Interesting lines and nice color. I like the blacks brought out in the door to give the grunge look. Not sure of the necessity of that little slice of green on the right. Might crop that unless it messes up the composition. |

You're starting off the new year with a bang! Thanks for getting discussion started early; something I need to try to do more often. And thanks for the comment about the dark spots on my image. I usually look for lighter spots that might distract, but have never thought about how dark ones could to the same. Happy New Year-hope you're not frozen inside. |
