Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
63 Aug 17 Reply Do you think this presentation makes the image more symmetrical? Aug 26th
63 Aug 17 Comment Priscilla, nice colors in the flower, presented well. Kudos for getting things so sharp while hand-holding the camera. I like particularly the sharpness of the center against the "fluffyness" of the white petals in the background. The offset down to the right seems to work, but I wonder if it would be stronger in the upper left---just a thought. I thought about the middle, but think in passing that some offset works better. 63 Aug 17 Comment Pat, I really like the concept of this image--the lined coins against a background of other coins. The front coins are nice and sharp and the background is blurred but not so much as to be unrecognizable. I like the square image and the only small thing might be a little more distance at the bottom to offset the space at the top. Nice image. Aug 26th
63 Aug 17 Comment Murphy, the blues here are so well done--different shades rendered somewhat soft against a soft background. The lines are sharp, but the flowers and background have a velvety look about them I really like. Nice image. Aug 26th
63 Aug 17 Comment Hi Khai, You always have such sharp, crisp images and this one is certainly no exception. Kudos for using the 300mm lens to shoot this with such technical skill. I like the way it nicely blurred the background but kept the flower sharp and demanding our attention. The flower seems so real that it almost makes me sneeze, since I have recently become allergic to Sunflowers for some reason. Personally, I like the original version rather than the flipped version since it puts the flower on the left cross bar; maybe I'm a little dyslexic and not aware of it. Either way, it's a nice image. 63 Aug 17 Comment Hi Lisa, I like the sharpness in the image against the white background. It looks like the two are about to do battle, perhaps a sort of duel where one has insulted the other. Perched on similar objects, equal distance apart. Of course, I like the technique of duplicating the image and then flipping it. Interesting image with good technique in camera and post. Aug 26th
63 Aug 17 Comment Hi Karen, There is a feeling of usefulness and mystery in the image. The hook and the part of the train car behind both show wear and tear from constant use. There is ambiguity in the scene leaving us to discern exactly the use itself, providing mystery. Both are now rusted, perhaps showing that the objects are now "retired." Interesting image with a lot of character, well presented. Aug 26th
