Jay, what a good street picture this is! If feels like you were walking , saw it, stopped and photographed. I wonder could you walk 2 yards more have the shark inside the frame in whole?

This is a very good travel picture. My only comment is the edge of the building on the left side. My choice would be either to remove it completely or add it to the frame. |

The leading line of the fence is a nice feature and adds to the composition. The colors are vibrant and compelling. Nicely done

Thanks. It is intended to see this picture in a context of 4 pictures where each has tree elements and Yosemite is the background. |

On right hand side hole - you will find some details. In general - there is no light source / nor reflection coming out from there adding these artificially may seem odd.

Thanks Grace.
Blueish reflected light can be created / recorded on the sensor as this is indeed a cooler light temperature environment.I do not see such tint on my screen. |

This is a very nice landscape photo. f16 or f22 may have kept the star like sun but without the flare to the left. As for the composition - The red spot is a major distraction. Consider Suggestion 2 of Grace.

Grace, The composition, colors, layers, sharpness are all spot on. The white sky without details are getting too much attention. I guess not too much to do about it.

Very much winter picture. The square crop fits the composition perfectly and allows the viewer to concentrate on the 3 planes and 3 colors. I would not increase the shadows The softness is a part of the snow and the winter. Very nicely done.

I love it just the way it is. My only comment is to remove the spot in the clouds between the 2 canopies. If you want to give it a bit more punch increase the saturation of the green color. |

That's my kind of picture. I love it. I would not touch it a bit. Print it put it in a book. |

Thank you for the good thoughts.
Color deviation may occur as this is cold temperature reflective light in an uneven condition. As you mentioned this is too little to change the true natural settings. Honestly I do not see it. |

Hana,
As your previous work, this portrait is very compelling too. The sharpness in the eyes is very well done. My comment to you is - consider less edit on the skin and face. It gives the picture a bit of an artificial look as if it is a barbie doll.
I recommend you look at the work of Platon and Yusuf Karsh both Masters of portrait photography. As for the lens choice -Very wise. It is too often that photographers overlook micro lenses for portraits . Congratulations on this choice! Working with a D700 you may consider using the best ever portrait lens created- the 135mm F2 DC by Nikon. It has 2 separate and independent 9 blade apertures allowing you to control the depth of field and bokeh in front and behind the focal plane. It is truly amazing. I have one :) |

Elise,
Wonderful picture and edit.
A few thoughts to you: As michael suggested there a bit more work to do on the composition. The blurred top left background is a distraction. Perhaps Darken it. Another option is as Michael suggested - concentrate and isolate. Third- change your angle of view - lower and closer.

Dale, This is wonderful micro photography capture. The sharpness, contrast, ligh, and composition !
To me the web is the subject and the plant below is a distraction. I would crop landscape, removing away the plant, ,leaving only the spiderweb.
