Thanks B!
perhaps it is a good idea to adjust the white balance a bit.

You are correct some of the shadows are complete black but they are indeed complete black since there is no bouncing light off them. Perhaps I can open the histogram to the right but not sure if the detail will add interest or distraction.

Hi,
no I have never been there before. I will probably will. The water is not blown but yes on the edge as it was on the meter on site. Thanks |

Bill, this is a nice travel photograph. I do agree with the sharpening mentioned. Maybe consider increase the exposure by +0.5EV I think it will "open it" and show how beautiful it is.

The composition is very well chosen and the presentation of the layers from front to back is interesting. The colors and difference in light between the general composition and the houses in the middle seems to me un even. Good picture.

This is a wonderful picture. A lot of texture and a small subject that gives a good idea of size. I like the wide dynamic range while keeping good contrast. Well done

Larry,
by now I almost expect every picture of yours to have stars :)
can be an interesting experiment. The low light is is appealing and adds to the emphasis of the bridge. Good edit

This is great. The composition the light the atmosphere. Probably one of your best in the last months. Frame it. It reminds me of Saul Leiter's work |

Thank you Lance. I'll try again my thought:
In my view a more even lit foreground will help concentrate on the main subject. In other words, less dodging / more even lit foreground. To be completely hones this is nitpicking the photo is amazing. |

I love the dark sky with white clouds and the trees. the dodging worked well in the background. I do think that more even foreground will allow concentrate more of the subject. I love the picture. |

The exposure and the composition are compelling. I think the picture is under exposed and the histogram is to the left. The point of interest is the light and then the window. Very well composed. |

I agree with the group members. The combined image is well done. The geometry and shapes acre coming out strongly. Personal choice I take - the low contrast ? |

Thank you Lance. Often I take 2 clicks one long exposure one shorter. I always like better the longer exposure. Form me water is a line and represents continuation...
p.s. I weened to begin working on the essay of a photo structure as you proposed in the last email. |

Thank you M. If I manage 1 of 100 clicks then I still fail 99 ( john free). and if you don't critique my work how can I possibly become better?
I hope you got the email i sent for you to Lance. Thank you for the comment. I expose long 1. It eliminates all visible debris 2. It increases the contrast and emphasizes the water. |
