36 Aug 23 Reply It works :) Thank you Barbara !
I have much to learn about editing. Holding the camera is definitely my stronger side.

36 Aug 23 Reply Thank you I'll try it Aug 24th
36 Aug 23 Comment Thank you. I do have much to learn on LR and PS Aug 24th
36 Aug 23 Comment Thank you Barbara I'm learning something new! So if I understand correctly- you rotate the image ? Aug 16th
36 Aug 23 Comment Barbara, how did you fix this distortion? Aug 16th
36 Aug 23 Comment You are correct. there is a parallax effect on the crown of the tower. If i straighten it out then it seems the building is leaning to the left side. Aug 13th
36 Aug 23 Comment Diane, First thing is first: Im not stating any facts. I'm not judging your picture. I'm only providing you my humble and honest opinion. Please accept or ignore (equally) my comments as you please. I specifically wrote- "For me" :). Second, within the boundaries of this group my intent is pure and honest to help others become better and in the same fashion - to become better by myself.
Specifically: In my view - if you dedicate more time to editing than photographing - you are an editor rather than a photographer. That is what I was taught in photography school and in Nature journals I worked for. More so, the final result may have been achieved with 1 correct exposure. to prove it - the difference in EV between the high key and the low key, is not exceeding the dynamic range of you R6 (7X EV). Mind as well the final result is with even a lessor dynamic range. So yes you have created a beautiful image. It is pleasant, calming and 100% yours but very different in color , tone, and method, work and skill from MY approach to a photograph. Sorry for a long answer.

36 Aug 23 Comment while the image (not picture) is very pleasing to the eye and calming, for me this is too far from photography. Aug 11th
36 Aug 23 Comment Wonderfull picture. good contrast. Not sure what is the white line between the green snd the gray in the background. you pushed one of the sliders too much ? Aug 11th
36 Aug 23 Comment Good picture. Good edit. exposure- in my view should have been longer. I like the vignetting.

83 Aug 23 Reply At S 1/15 I still feel comfortable if I'm using a heavy body and not too long of a lens. The Aug pic on Group 36 I took at S 1/10. Its a matter of exhaling and holding your breath. Beyond that- I need support. Specifically I was holding the camera in my hands on the balustrade of the stairs. Nothing special really. Aug 15th
83 Aug 23 Reply Glad you like it 😀 Aug 13th
83 Aug 23 Comment Well I appreciate the courage of sticking out your neck with experiments in public. I really do and I do appreciate much your combined approach of words and visual. Thanks for sharing Aug 12th
83 Aug 23 Comment The articulation of the 2 men above the horizon line is good. Framing them on the 1/3 is strong. Yet something does not work for me with the editing. The contrast is too low.

83 Aug 23 Comment While the framing is good the light was not in your favor. the interest points of the picture are not emphasized as they are in the middle of the histogram. Another comment - Maybe (?) you darkened the sky too much and it creates an artificial effect in the edge line of the objects bordering it ( like the cross etc..)

83 Aug 23 Comment Lance - to be honest Not my cup of tea. Perhaps there is sentimental value for you or this is one of a series. Not sure I get it. Sorry Aug 11th
83 Aug 23 Comment The stairs and the house in the fog in my view - can each stand alone. Yet are well seamed together. Good tonal range

83 Aug 23 Comment I agree with cropping the couple. Aug 11th
