Great portrait! And I enjoyed the story behind it also. I like the black and white. Seems like a good image for your exhibit! |

Thanks Tom! I have to agree that Diana's crop does put the focus on the best parts of the image. When editing this photo, I was always torn between the color and the black and white. I liked all the red and reflections in the photo. But still lean towards the monochrome. |

I like warm and dry weather also! I live near Pittsburgh and we definitely get a lot of rain. Always a chance to get reflection images after the rain too. Thanks for your thoughts. |

Thanks Wes. I do agree now that most of the building should be cropped off. And while I like the red lights and reflection in the water, I still prefer this one in black and white too. |

Thank you for your thoughts. I have probably cropped this 50 ways but was always leaving most of the building in on the left. I really like your first crop below - I like to see the tops of the buildings and I definitely wanted the lady with the umbrella to be the focus. And I also like the sign on the right. Thank you! |

Hello Som, welcome - I'm very new to the group myself. I think this is a great photo. I do like your first edit but did think the right side crop was a good idea as many have said. I could also go with the high contrast too. |

I always enjoy flowers in mono. I can see the noise since it has been noted and I agree that Som's image of the flower (reduced noise) does help. I prefer the branch from the original and I agree that it should stay in. |

Beautiful barn! And great image with the old truck too. I love them both and always looking for barns to photograph. I do like the black and white better but a red barn also makes a great photo. |
