thank you Linda for your positive and detailed feedback, I much appreciate it. I tried to convert to black and white but in my opinion it doesn't work the same way. The colors in this image help to convey the feeling of happiness.

Kerry this is a powerful image that, as mentioned from others, tells a story and is likely to be a sad one. Your choice to get at the same level of the subject helps to avoid the feeling of dominance that is a risk in this kind of images.
I guess this is also the kind of images that has been recently raised some debates about photographers regarding possible ethical issues of using a person social condition to create an image without permission (since you used a telephoto lens). I am not judging on this, but I wish to hear what others in the group think about it.

Bruce, you definitively capture the moment in this image. The truce expression of his face and hand on the gun, is worrying me that maybe he saw something? I guess donuts are not the valuable there too....I like they way you crop the image

Linda, since I am late in the discussion I can't add much more of what has already being said. I actually think your image is having a focus point. The man in black shirt (or whatever color is it) moving in the opposite direction of all ladies with a clear top (but one that is also dark). Is almost a metaphor of our society that is more and more divided. I think this is really a great picture.

Isaac, I can't add much to comments already made. I think this is an effective image providing a clear idea of the challenging to try to mitigate effects of climate change on Mother Nature. Humans are keep spending a lot of money to fix problems instead to try to prevent them with open mind measure that would mitigate the effects of the climate changes.

Thank you Mike, much appreciated your comments. Regarding the sky I can see your point, however, remember that at 3,120 meters the air is much cleaner and the skies appear with a saturated blue regardless. We are becoming so used to our pale skies that tend to forget how the sky can be. I will try to de saturate the sky a little however,

Thank you Tom for your kind comment. From my conversation with the guide, the monk used to cut the trees there (all temple is made of wood) and also they used horses. The place really conveys a mystic feeling. Also, this is not the original, mostly of the temples in Bhutan have been rebuilt because they got fired (their are oil lamps in every room) or because the earthquake that hit the country few years ago. About getting this angle, is was easy... the trail has a very nice view point exactly whee I took this image. The problem is to get to the temple then you need to go down and up again...

Thank you Spring for sharing your thoughts on this image. Regarding your comment on the sky, the amount of sky in the image is about 20% of all image. I think the blue sky in this instance is helping to provide the idea of serendipity and also to place the temple close to the sky. Colors in Buthan are striking from the way people dress to nature. So while they are likely a bit saturated, and I have decreased saturation in my post process, also because the polarizer, I think the green is balanced. However, I guess this is always a personal choice and preference.

John, I agree with Mike and Nigel comments. The horizon is offset and the image lack of a clear anchor point. I also think the light is presenting some blue dominance. I understand you captured this image in the middle of the day with bright light and to me this is an example why we should accept this is not a good time to take pictures. I think you can try to save this image by converting in black and white and cropping it a little.

Nigel,
this is an excellent travel image and I think you have done a great work to get an image without people around.I disagree with John about the sky. The palace is dark and the bright sky is creating the perfect contrast to highlights the details of the upper portion of the building. I think this could also be an excellent image in black and white.

Mike,
this is another nice image of your series on sheep herds. The panoramic crop fit well the image and the oak tree frames well the sheep herd. I think the image lack a little of contrast, although I understand the dust created by the sheep moving is partially responsible for this.

Dennis,
you capture well the atmosphere of this busy street at the "blue hour". I think the image technically impeccable. I would not change a think in this image, is an excellent urban landscape with people. The empty road space to me is not disturbing in this image but as Nigel said helps to balance the image. The manhole covers are part of the urban landscape and I don't see a reason for removing them.

Tom
this is a nice urban landscape image. This image immediately let the observer to recognize what is the subject and technically is perfectly exposed. You have enough foreground with the rails leading to the subject, but also the border of the street is creating a leading line. I agree with Nigel, that opening a little the shadow in the background would help the image. Otherwise it appears just like a black space that doesn't help the image.
Kind regards
