Hi Bev,
thank you for taking the time and comment on my image. Much appreciated. The object on the left is not a huge lamp but a a huge prayer wheel. I will try to tone down a little it thank you for your suggestion

Thank you Bruce. In Bhutan, Buddhism is pretty much part of the everyday life. And you can see signs of people commitment in every gesture of the day.

I would agree that this cropping is maybe too tight and the image lose the context in which it was taken

Bruce,
this series tells a story, but your final image is the one that summarize it. The contrast between the elegant suit and the old wall is great and obviously the issue with this man. I, like Isaac can also fully understand the urgency of this man.
great work!

Isaac, this is an image that definitively tells a story. The story tells that father and son (?) love photography (because if you use a tripod you love to take pictures seriously). The face of the boy shows how much he is concentrated in the task. The whitish background isolates the two subjects well and the trunk on the right creates a diagonal leading to the couple.
Well done

this is a great street image. The blurry heads in the foreground frame the man with the open mouth very nicely. We can't know what he is excited about since there is no clue about the ice cream. I also find the very sharp man on the left distracting because now you have two subjects competing for attention. I think that if you crop that second man out you can probably get a better image.
kind regards

Mike, this is a nice image following the rule of third so we know the boats and the harbor are the subject. The clouds add some interest to the image. Unfortunately, as you mentioned, you captured this at midday with a harsh light so the image is flat despite the clouds. I think a monochrome version in this case would help.

Mike,
I like very much this series of documentary image. This one has a great light and an excellent composition. It is a little soft and I am not sure if this is because the low resolution of the posted one or because is the lens that is not sharp.

John, this is a great capture of this iconic location. The golden light and the mist create an ethereal appearance of the place. The composition is also very good with the trees in the foreground creating a line that frames the rock in the middle. The only thing I would consider is to darken a little those trees so that they do not compete with the rocks in the middle.

Spring,
This is a wonderful place and I think you capture well with your phone the beauty of it. I agree with Mike's comment about composition. I also think the horizon is leaning to the left (but this can be easily fixed). I like the color rendition.

Dennis,
this is very nice architectural image capturing the lines of this bridge very well. The clouds in the sky help to make the bridge to stand out from the background. I agree with Mike that a couple of cyclist would help to tell the story better. However, the image is excellent also the way it is. I think the monochrome treatment is just right.

this is a nice story Tom and I agree with you that often the best way to appreciate a place is just wandering around and let it to take you.
Your image is pretty good. It looks almost like a paint and it definitively convey the feeling of being in a Caribbean location. I like the way you capture the handrail that leads the eye to the door. I think it leans a little to the right and you can easily correct it. I also believe the strong and bright green palm leaves on the right corner are a little bit distracting. Maybe you can tone down those. Alternatively since you said you have multiple image you have another one where the tree is part of the composition.
best wishes
