Jennie, I don't do macro or close up photography so I can't make a proper judgement. However, I can only say I really like the image. It is sharp, has an interesting composition and uses well the negative space of the still blue water.

Hi All,thank you for looking and commenting to my images. Just to make it clear these are two different images of two different canyons of the Yellow Mountains. I apologize for not making this clear.
I found interesting to get different point of views from different people.

John this is a wonderful landscape and you captured it well. The composition is spot on and the the reflexes help. The only problem I have with this image is that the reflexes are brighter of the scenery. This never happens in nature (is the opposite). So to me this is taking down the image a little. I am sure you can correct this easily.

Spring, I echo Tom's comments this is a spectacular scenery well captured. The colors are well balanced and everything convey the feeling of beauty of this place. Well done.

I like this image Dennis. Good composition, well balanced colors and great light. I really like the child in the foreground. To me that figures add a lot to the story and makes the image better. I don't like however the two people at the entrance of the temple. They just create distraction, particularly because one has a bright blue jacket.

Tom, I like your choice of shutter speed that provides some dynamic to the scenery and keep some texture in the water. I agree with Spring and John that the dead tree just in the middle is taking down the image from the composition point of view. Maybe moving to the right would have take the tree out of the middle of the image. John's post process just show up how good is the image without the tree.
