Thank you John for taking the time to comment on my image and sharing your thoughts. I understand your preference for a cooler color of the sky.

Hi Theresa, thank you for commenting on my photo and your kind words. Regarding removing the house I think this is allowed in the the digital section. It would not be permitted in the nature and travel section.

John, this is an outstanding image. I can just echo comments from others. An image that convey perfectly the atmosphere of that scenery.

This is very nice composition Ted. Definitively the shadow on the rocks create a special atmosphere. I agree with Nigel that a monochrome version would make this photo more compelling. The highlights in the rock are a little blow out and you loose details there.

Nigel,
thank you for sharing your thoughts on this photo. I see your point regarding the treetops on the foreground. I have tried to crop the image in a different way (see the attachment), however, in this version in my opinion there is too much sky and the image becomes almost split 50/50 and not sure this is better.

Thank you Tom, for you kind words on my photo. Spring is definitively a good time to visit the area. The tower is part of castle. Each of these villages were owned by landlords fighting often each others or facing invasion (e.g. the French), so all these villages had their own defense system.

Nigel this is a nice image with a good composition and is sharp. The trail in the foreground help to lead the eye to to the house. I agree that without the car the image is definitively stronger as shown by Tom work.

Mike, I think you were successful in realizing your goal to create a natural landscape with layers and texture. However, I am struggling with this image. Maybe is because the panorama format. I would like to see a little more of the trees in the background to open a little bit more the space and make the image less claustrophobic. I also believe you have a very flat image. Maybe increasing contrast and some selective use of layers to increase saturation could help it.

Hi Theresa, this is a beautiful landscape and your image is sharp. The diagonal crack in the rocks lead the eye to the tree. However, I agree that the tree get hidden somewhere from the background. I am wondering if moving to the left and going lower would help to make this tree more prominent.

Tom at first I thought this image was "too much". However, once I review it with more attention, I can just appreciate the excellent work you have done my creating an artistic representation of this scenery. I think your use of HDR and all tools of Aurora to create this painterly image were successful.
