Lovely image Ted.I like your composition and the scattered pattern of the clouds. I also believe the stalk in the foreground is creating an element of stability in this almost minimalist landscape. I like you keep the image very natural.

Hi John, thank you for looking and commenting my image. I took several photo of this but at then end this one is the one I liked more. I purposely decided of not having the sun in the middle. I have another one with the sun in the middle but it creates too much distraction. I wanted the iceberg to be the subject and this is also the reason I decide of not going for the rule of third. However, I used the rule of third for the position of the sun....(-:

John just echo Tom and Mike comments. The light on the temple and contrast between the red vivid color and the pale blue one make this an excellent work. The image is really sharp. Well done

A great monochrome intimate landscape Nigel. Your conversion is spot on to me by using great contrast to highlight the tree against a dramatic sky. My picky comment is why did you use the "square" format for this image?

Mike your story is what I have been learning every day. In a photo the observer should be able to identify immediately the subject and the art of great photo is take away what is not necessary. In the cropped image you have done just that and use the great light and the silhouette of the old pier ruins to "create the subject". I am working now on trying to get the composition I want "in camera" every time is possible.

Outstanding work Theresa. I think your choice of going for a panorama was just right. Your choice of shutter speed also is slow enough to create some water motion without creating a silky effect that in this case would not work in my opinion. I agree with Mike that, considering the natural appearance of this image, the superdetail in the background rocks looks overdone.

This is really a nice photo Tom. Great composition and choice of shutter speed. I sincerely prefer the revised version. I would agree with Mike and Nigel about the sky being overdone compare to the natural appearance of the image. I am wondering if you really needed 9 image to get this done. Is quiet a lot of images even for an HDR one.

Thank you Nigel, I have looked at the original image carefully on my screen and I honestly don't see it. However, I am be wrong. It maybe consequence of the contrast between the ice and the sky?

Thank you Nigel. It was a great morning. We were there the day before but it was foggy (however I still could get some cool images).
