I like this image, it has a story, which includes both persons, and is something that is common , or shows one component of life on the streets. My only suggestion would be to crop the top of the stall to eliminate the white which to some degree overpowers the image. |

When I first looked at this what caught my eye is the colours, they in my mind made the image, (not a negative) and my only comparision would be in South America where the markets use the technique to draw attention to the wares, The image is sharp and without the vendor would be a standalone good street scene. After looking beyond the colours the Vender comes into the scene, and creates the story behind it. Well done. |

This image along with the story if fascinating. As noted the bright colours do make it pop. Well done. Just a thought , perhaps if it was cropped on the left the pattern of the stairs would be in symmetrical and perhaps in balance to some degree. |

Other than as in Isaac's suggestion re: straightening the verticals, I would not change what you have presented, nor can I make any suggestions. The sepia gives the image a timeless feel, ie: from days past. I did try an older program I have that tries to recreate vintage film, etc processess and have included it here, other than the person is a bit more clear (his face) I have only added it to this comment as an afterthought on on my part It does not compare to the quality of yours

I like this image, the colours, the contrasting facial expressions of the two persons, and the composition. I do not think I would change anything. On the other hand I really like the original posed image, not so much as a street scene but the colours, of her dress really show up, and her facial expression shows joy.. Also the contrast between the two images , and showing the two make this a pleasing pair to look into. |

Hi Ed, no did not get down low due to a physical limitation and i was using my crop camera without a tilt screen so could not do that, It was a poor day in many ways but the ideas given so far have given me some food for thought. Once the weather clears up and I can use my hand fully I am going to try some of the ideas given. |

I like the footprints in the snow and the shadows on the right side. Perhaps cropping on the right so that it becomes a vetical with the footprint leading one up the image . In cropping I think I would still leave some of the shadow. The shadow seems to be at where there is a slight change in the path leaving one to wonder why the change occurred. This as presented by you is a good image. |

This image has a lot of [potentials beyond the excellent presention you put up. I like the image. I did try one adjustment using presets (Aurther as in arthritis in my hands have been acting up so very limited in what I could do) This idea I tried would need some more detailed adjustment but not going to happen now. I have included the edited just to show my concept |

There is no question in my mind the BW is much better. I tried a very quick conversion in elements of the original to see what the result would be with a bit more contrast. This edit still needs work if it is to work, but it does give the idea |

A High Key minimalist image. I think i would crop it on the left perhaps a third of the way in, and then adjust the toning by masking in LR to make the lighthouse stand out a bit better. A difficult image to analyze but good food for thought. Would be interested in other ideas. |
