I think I will send this with permission to two of my brothers in Alberta who claim to know how to catch fish. The image is in balance and well composed. Perhaps a bit of sharpening of the workman would have a positive effect, Also the splash of white around his head has a positive effect as it makes him stand out from the collection of fish. |

I agree with you in that the colour image is a better image due to the colours. The BW image also has it's merits and is a good image. I think that cloning out the tire of the scooter that seems to affect her left knee would make her look more natural, and changing the tone of her jacket would make her stand out a lot better. I also like the lines created by the sidewalk and the builing overhang leading to the distance showing an almost vacant street with only two persons going about there day. |

A very nice candid of a young couple in an intimate moment, I agree with you in that there is nothing to bring the viewer to realize this is Venice, Italy. Having said that I do not think it takes away from the moment you captured, a moment that will never occur in the same circumstances again. You did well to capture it. I did a crop and adjusted the skin tones slightly cloned out two minor distraction, and sharpened it slightly in topaz. |

This captures the moment in the life of the woman well. I missed the square on the TV as well, and I am guessing if you had moved somewhat to include more of the left side of her you would have lost the moment and her facial expression which to me makes the image. There is a wire growing out of her head that could be cloned out quite easy. The woman is sharp and well in focus. I like the image, |

I think this image stands as is, and that is not only my opinion, my wife who belongs to another group had a look while I was looking at it and she said that picture does not need any improvement. I did get a kick out of the one girl on the left who is ignoring the group and engaged with someone else via her cell phone. |

I like this image as it shows day to day life in what often is a very busy location. You brought the scene down to one area and showcased the activity in the area. I did a crop along the left side as in my opinion that section had some distractions and I believe it did not add to the story. Just a different idea of what the story is |

Very nice as it is. I did a couple of thing , cropped the top slightly and then using a lineal gradient in lightroom lightened the sky above the bell tower Took me 3 edits to get what I was trying to achieve, but here it is . The colour image does not do what you achieved in mono |

Hi Trevor; This image in BW stands out much better than the colour version. i think the vehicle pops of the screen and away from the background. I did a bit of lightening in lightroom of the background and think it enhances the vehicle against the background. |
