As you said this is not a candid street scene but rather a stree portriat, there is a distinction. She seems to be focussed on something and that leaves a lot to the imagination. I like the colours of the costume as they add to the potential story. I think however the skin tones could be toned down some and the skin could be smoothed out . This I think would take away the harsh look of the women. |

It can be done in NIK with contact points, but I did it in lightroom ( new version) with masks which are quite easy to use and then just did the adjustments from the panel that drops down allowing edits or adjustments to the masked area |

While I prefer the colour image, I think toning down the woman at the fountain with the red sweater would help to remove a distraction. Mono has it's merits so I tried something different, and left the main subject in colour and then put the rest of the image in grey scale. I think this puts attention on her and as you said her pants while still leaving the leading lines to draw one into the scene. I opted for BW over the toned image as in my mind the pants blended too much into the rest of the scene. |

I like the image as you cropped it, and the colours add as much to the story as does the women. I made one small edit and lightened her a bit similar to what Bruce did. |

I played a lot with this image and the closest I came to what might be a decent image was by cropping on the right to the upright post. at that, part of the third person was cut off and the balance was off. End thought was to leave it as is and using some imagination try to create a story (not that it needed it) of what the debate was about. |

I think your crop of the original is spot on. There is a clear enough image of the reflection to also add context to the scene. I have to wonder what really has caught his attention based on his position and what he seems to be looking at. Well done. On a different note , in looking at your original and using the same crop I think I would have left you in the image as it does add to the story in that the subject is either unaware of his picture being taken or more than like does not care. |

Good nature image, the little beasty is out checking the surroundings. Those little ones are either real quick or if they are unsure will pause on coming out and check out the area. I did try a quick edit to bring out some more detail but it still needs some more work as overall I think it is on the flat side. |

I think this was a difficult shot to get, and you got it. I would not change anything . It would do well up here in a winter scene competition at our club level. |

A very good head shot, cropped well and the lighting fits the image well. Well done |

I like the BW as it brings out the details far better. Perhaps just darkening out the stem? bit of a highlight will make it pop out more |

I like the BW it is clear sharp and captures the Owl well. I do agree about darkening the lower corner highlights some. |

Good day Ed
There are three other possible locations at that site that would make the image "more dramatic" However it was High Tide and in that area the entire beach in under water, and that included a bit of a path to the North (the stern end of the ship) and the path to the south took one further away with a poor angle. Any other view point was on private property with no access. I was limited. At low tide one can walk out just about 1/3 of the way to that ship and to the north a bit closer and directly across from it. |
