58 Aug 23 Reply Thank you, I did try Isaac's crop as well and kept it in my file for future use, The crop as suggested was appreciated . Aug 24th
58 Aug 23 Comment A very good image as it shows an individual seeming relaxed, based on his posture and his hand on the ledge, while it shows the concentration on what he is doing. It also lends itself to mono or colour as you have posted it. I did a mono edit and did lighten the background which I think shows the condition of the interior of this section of the building Aug 19th
58 Aug 23 Reply Thank you, will try a tighter crop, and yes it is a very rocky beach, and the tide was the lowest I have seen in the many times I have been there. Aug 11th
58 Aug 23 Comment A moment if time that can never be repeated well done. I like the expressions of the people. the women on the right seems to be somewhat aloof and is ignoring the others for reasons known only to her. The man seems lost in his own thought, or perhaps is just bored waiting for the bus. The two girls are in their own world and seem to be enjoying themselves while waiting. I did try to tone down the highlights on the women and man's head but was not successful. A slight toning down I think would help the overall image. Aug 3rd
58 Aug 23 Comment I did look back to March 2020 and found that I like this image a lot better as the toning, the position of the painter, the leading lines formed by the pavement markings , the buildings and trees all help to keep focus on the subject. The colouring is such that nothing distracts and there is enough detail to provide a glimpse of what he is doing. I have no suggestions or ideas on what else can, may, or should be done to improve the image. I like it exactly as presented. Aug 3rd

74 Aug 23 Comment This is a good image with a strong back light and it worked out well in Mono. I agree with Melissa on the cropping and the clean up of the two bumps. Aug 7th
74 Aug 23 Comment In looking at the original the scene due to lighting was a bit of a challange. Your B&W captured the scene well as you saw it and is well done. Each of us has our own vision of what we see in any scene and then we through framing and exposure, followed by post processing work to express that vision in our final image. In my case I used the original and saw enough detail to to bring , at least in my mind the scene to life and not quite so moody. I did the editing in Silver Efex with some touch up in lightroom. Same image just a different vision of the scene. Aug 6th
74 Aug 23 Comment A good image that expresses what you want'd to show. I did try to lighten the Duck but it did not work out to what I expected. This appears to be take in poor light condition, based on your image and not seeing the original, and in that respect I think you did a good job. Aug 3rd
74 Aug 23 Comment This image shows the reason for the lighthouse , it is a rocky shore, one is looking up so that it stands out as a beacon on a stormy day. I tried a different approach using the original colour image, used the sky that was there and lightened the overall image so the lighthouse stood out a bit more. that is just my interpretation and I would not change the image you made and your view of the scene, it is well done. 74 Aug 23 Comment I like these type of structural images and am hard pressed to find similar scenes up here (ie: the rock work) I agree the sky is a problem, I did a slight crop on the right side, lightened the scene which I think provided a bit more detail, and did something I rarely do , replaced the sky. As I have very few presets for skies I picked the one that was somewhat close to the actual sky in you image. Other than the sky my edits were done in Silver Efex off the colour image. I think you did a decent job considering all the problems you described. Aug 3rd
