I took a different approach to this image and focused on the "time traveler" by turning all of the image except him into mono chrome using an apple store simple program called colour splash. Then in Photoshop I used one layer and and masking to blur everything but him. I think that although this is a somewhat non conventional approach it does focus on the subject. I do agree with isaac's last statement regrding persons at this type of event who are dressed for the event likely would mind being photographed and might even to some degree help you out. |

This is a nice image, I like it just as is, it is clear and shows the work being done with just enough of the artist to appreciate the challange. well done. |

I have come back to this image a number of times as this is a scene that is very common out here living on the Island. It shows an everyday activity very clearly and it strikes me as a family outing with one member just watching. All I did to the image is remove the can in the bottom left using PS beta three, and then a bit of sharpening in topaz. I do have reservations on using beta three to create images or add components to the image that were not part of the original scene, but it is fun to play with. |

Attached is the original unedited image, I just opened the raw resized and saved as a jpeg. the error on the bottom was in cropping with some loss due to straighting. Did not notice that when I edited the image. Good advice now have to pay more attention when cropping and editing. thanks |

I like the image as is, again living on the coast this is a type of scene that we see very often and you did a good job of capturing it. I did some minor cropping and darkened the the two men to some degree to make them stand out a bit better in my mind. |

I think you met your objective with your edit, it is in my mind a good image . I did try one edit to brighten the image up, but question does the edit improve the image for the overall story. I did not work on the sack on the left as it I think adds to the story on one hand, but on the other takes away from the portrait of the gentleman. Your crop and using monochrome suits the image much better than the original, which also is a good image. Well done |

I do like the image but as you were looking for other options I attempted a bit of a more high key approach. It does make the mushroom stand out a bit more. I did this in silver efex with the fine art preset and then used the adjustments to focus on the mushroom. |
