7 Dec 23 Reply Thanks for your comments Rich. No it wasn't a memorial. It was built in the mid 1920's and put into retirement in the late 1990's ,when the last train departed Boise,ID. Dec 27th

7 Dec 23 Comment Tom, Beautiful setting sun. I would start by cropping the picture about a third of the way up, removing the contrasting waters below. I feel the lower thirds just creates confusion for the viewer. The top part of the photo is great with tranquility, color, and human interaction at its best Dec 15th
7 Dec 23 Comment Nice capture Rich. I like the tones in the photo and the capture of history. The lines grab the viewer and lead them on a trip through time wondering what forces were in play making the swirling lines. I wouldn't crop the photo as the contrast between the three areas of the photo tell a story. The aging lines of time, the dried tree sap that could have been the tree creating some medicine for an injury it had occurred and the top left portion of the photo that shows recent breakage of the tree. 7 Dec 23 Comment Judith, You have a very clever and well assembled image! Your backdrop reminds me of vegetation growing in an aquarium or at the bottom of a lake. Symmetry and color are very harmonious to your photo. I would bet that a fish has never viewed its tail from this angle. Great job and this photo is ready for some Blue Ribbons. Dec 15th
