I don't feel the gull is necessary. With it in, it "changes" the story. Either way works for me. The action you captured here and the splashing water make for a great "nature" photo. Can you bring up the exposure or add more detail in the bear with a levels or curve adjustment? |

The hair covering one side of the face is a creative touch. The front lighting tends to flatten the face. I think placing the light at 45 degrees horizontally and/or vertically creates shadows that add depth, dimension and drama to the portrait. I feel this makes for more interesting portraits, but just my preference. |

This is a nice street photography piece! I like the tones and subject matter. Removing the post was well done and simplified the image. The dog looking at the camera strengthens the story. |

Capturing the lizard with the tongue out makes this image. I would like to see more depth of field so the tongue was more in focus. Catch light would be nice, but this is all more difficult to achieve with a cell phone. Perhaps a vignette would help keep the eye right on the point of interest (lizard head). |

What a great photo, Fran! Technically solid, wonderful tones and detail. Sepia works well. An excellent story telling element here. I see nothing to offer to improve this image. |

Nicely focused close-up and compelling image. I prefer the color version. To my eye the background is a little bright and draws my eye away from the subject. I would bring down the whites in the background to create more separation from the blossom.
