I hear what you're saying appreciate your preference. I added the texture background and border for an artistic effect. I agree it would work without the border. |

Nice capture of the bear. The water action adds to the story buy at the same time makes it very busy to my eye.. The tonal values are flat and lack separation of the bear from the water. I prefer the original and think it shows more separation. |

Close to symmetry. Interesting lines and shapes. I suggest adding a vignette or radial gradient to hold the eye in. Darkening all four columns in the corners would accomplish much the same. |

Capturing the individual in the lighted area is well done. The tonal value seems a little flat to me. The brightest element in the image is the statue on the left which makes it sort of the main subject. I would suggest toning down the statue and try emphasizing the individual. |

I would say you accomplished your goal. Nice rendering. To add impact you could try a radial gradient on the back wall. |

The tones are nice and an interesting subject. You might consider bringing up the contrast. I find it a bit busy for black and white. I think I prefer the original |

Shallow depth of field with the focal point on the blossom with the bee is nice. I suggest a crop up from the bottom also. Consider darkening the three blossoms in the background. They distract my eye from the main subject {Blossom with the bee}. |
