Experimenting with a little space around the top and bottom of the image and/or a slight crop on the right side and maybe a slight rotation to achieve a diagonal could be interesting with this image. |

I like Jim's version, too. Are we allowed to use generative fill in PSA? Is that the same as a larger crop with content aware to create negative space or is that more AI oriented? |

I think both images work. I like the original one too. For some reason the Spanish moss seems to me too hot in Darlene's version compared to the original. |

Looks really good. The perspective modification makes the image more impressive. The central part of the image (is this an organ?) is a very effective black and white look. IMO the left edge and the pews detract from it. Here's my crop without those elements: |

Hi, I just joined the group and will be submitting images starting in November. I'm new to B&W. I like the layered landscape and the composition. Did you use any particular post processing of the mountains in the back? It draws my attention. It seems too uniform to me, like negative dehaze was applied locally. The usage makes sense to me but if it was less uniform it would seem more natural, i.e. I wouldn't notice it and think that it was retouched - even if it wasn't. Maybe some light brush retouches with sharpening and/or texture and/or contrast could help to make it look more natural. |
