Cindy another great paint with a Wow comment, love the combination of the palettes between the main subject and the background. This a paint to be in a cover of a magazine a book or on a gallery. Beautiful paint. |

Thanks Nancy, Pat and Gerhard,
I took the advice of everyone, I reduce te light of the background, and also the vibrant a little bit, working by layers, darkening the background, and also reduce the contrast, to soften the appearance, and also add a little bit of vignetting.
Nancy, I like your landscape version, the diagonal line the bark creates, and the darkening in its edges makes the main subject pops more.
I am going to keep the square version for now, and here it is. |

About the "Pirates of the Caribbean", that Trey mentioned, that was my 1st thought when I saw your image. You have done a great job highlighting the ship and the rocks. Great scene, love the movement and action I got from your paint.

First of all, it impressed me the beautiful contrast between the colours, they are vibrant and energetic, and also how well the shapes you find there came so well together. I will never think that you can get such an excellent result from the original, but here it is a remarkable image. Just ready for you for a Canvas print. |
