Thanks Pat, the good thing with painting is that the learning process is enjoyable and rewarding. The bad thing I have to do other things and don't have time to do them, maybe they are not so enjoyable. I like your picture of the month, love the glow, and how nicely the composition went together. |

Thanks Trey, I did printed it out in a glossy paper on a foam core that is ready to hang up, at the Photolab in Duncan, close where I live and they made a fantastic print. Very happy with the result, thanks to you guys. |

Yes Gerhard, our group is very positive and encouraging and very helpful. Kudus to Group 56 and to all the members. I have hopefully have my final paint, Thanks to all of you especially Cindy, Nancy, Trey.
In this version I changed the highlights of the stem as Cindy suggested and add some more colour in the background. |

Yes great capture, love the look of the bird and the colour detail you have added to the feathers, and to the flowers, and yes it's addictive and enjoyable. |

Beautifully done, the structures contrast now so well against the colourful trees and the sky, giving a very vibrant final image. Thanks for explaining how you bring out the sky, I have noted. I use the camera raw, now it has many features and mask to work by areas, and luminosity.

What a great work, the lighting and tonalities in the 3 images together went so well. Congratulations for your 25 years at PSA. |

Great flower arrangement and composition, love the detail of the flowers and the different hues you have gotten, got me interested and checked for more info about it. Very interesting. Great job. |

Thanks Cindy,
I have to go to my TIFF file to find out about the BG,
I usually like to use my own BG, that I created using all the elements and subjects of the picture and blended; but in this case I use a BG that "Elevate your Art" give us, its very subtle, no chunky look, and we have to repaint it adding the chunky look. I change the tones with PS, and this is what I got.
Cindy thank you so much for your support, and pointing out for the light direction, it makes more sense.
I chose this image because I've been practicing painting abstract flower, and it's hard to let it go, I mean as photographers we are more in detail, and it's hard to let it go, that's why probably I didn't know how to handle the centre. |

I don't see any failure in your painting, it is a beautiful image and it impacts me, I think in any style we choose there is beauty, and this one has it + the wow factor.
Agree totally with Nancy.

Thanks Nancy, I really appreciate your input, I am including a file, what I think is what you suggest me, also I add a little bit of the burgundy colour on the background. Thanks again. I will also send the unedited photo of this image to Trey, if it's ok with him to post it. |
