Margaret, nicely focused photo, but I'm afraid I will have to admit that it really doesn't say anything to me. And while these may be the last men standing, how is that significant? I've looked at this picture so many ways and I just cannot find a point of interest.
Looking at the picture, I think I can see what you were shooting for in your title, but there just doesn't seem to be a point that grabs my eye and holds onto it and transmits the message. Sorry, I am probably doing a lousy job of explaining what I am trying to say |

Mike, "wondering what's for chow" or wandering if he will survive the battle? The crystal clarity of the actor vs the haziness of the background is wonderful, and really isolates the subject of your photo. Nicely done! |

Adi, her eyes may be closed, but the horse understands what is going on. The perfect photo that demonstrates the deep connection that takes place between horse and rider.
I have a brother-in-law who use to come to my farm and always wanted to ride. We would saddle up our most trustworthy Arab gelding for him. When ready, he would mount and invariably, no matter what he tried, the horse would head for the barn. Two minutes later my 7 year old (at the time) daughter would get on him and put him through his paces. David would just shake his head and walk away.
This photo is an example of that which bind horse and rider, she meditates and imagines the ride, the horse pays attention and prepares for the ride. You've done an excellent job of catching the moment. Congratulations! |

Lance, very nice mood setting photo. The softness in the background really gives the photo a truly ethereal feel to it, and that, contrasting with the sharpness of the two driftwood pieces, really sets the mood. Separate the foreground from the background, and you have a very different and much more stark feel to the photo. |

Great shot Debasish! Hard sometimes to know if the shot is upright or upside down. Thank goodness for the guy on the other end. Next time control the wind so you don't have the little ripples in the water, LOL. I just love the symmetry in shots like this, good capture. |
