I love street scenes with people walking somewhere, and I think this is especially successful because of the place (love the cobblestones, the rounded red door, and the stonework) and the woman with the head scarves and the suitcase walking purposefully. A nice and interesting photo.
I've played around with the crop to get a little closer to the subject, and also lightened up her scarf to bring out a little more detail. Edits like these are always subjective so I'm not at all offended if you don't like them.

Great subject and a great job of panning! It's so hard to do, especially when you have what I would think are 3 points that need to be focused - the stars on the flag, the Queen's eye, and the horse's eye. I've tried panning a number of times and it always takes me tons of shots to get one good one. The photo might have been a little sharper but this is really good. I like the crop, too, which gives the horse room to run. |

What a lovely photo. Joan mentioned the words "old fashioned", which was just what I was thinking. I love the idea and the composition. For something old-fashioned, though, the photo looks really modern! So I tried applying some filters using Nik Color Efex. I'm not convinced that what I came up with is the best effect to apply, but I'm attaching it to give you the idea of what I was thinking. |

Wonderful shot for this month's theme. Great impact! It's nice and clear and sharp, and there's no question as to what the subject is! Even the sky is a nice matching blue and white (and thankfully no red there!). |
