I tried many different crops, but the story lost the impact of so many people tied to their phones. I did crop out some people to try to add a little height to the image. It won't win any awards, but was a fun image to create! |

I love this image! It's one that could be on a wall. It has a nice softness and glow to it. The angle of the flower conveys energy. Otherwise you've accomplished what you wanted. The only thing I would try is a bit more of a crop at the top. It might bring a bit more focus to the flower. Is that a biblical passage......? |

Interesting bit of nature at work. The frog spawn looks like many eyes! I imagine the female's eye is distorted by being underwater. Was the original taken in the dark? I like the darkened spawn as it better highlights the two frogs. Good job on the eye of the male - really catches your eye. |

What a great expression on the woman's face. She looks ready to dance to an old Frank Sinatra tune! I agree that the original has a beautiful warmth to it - as is fitting beautiful hardwood floors. If you re-visit the original, try cropping a bit from the right and the left (leaving the piano in), and from the bottom leaving the wheel reflections in. There's a very nice angle running from the woman to the piano. This is a great story-telling image. |

The colors and lighting in this image are beautiful - very striking. Good job with the vertical fix. If a little of the top were taken off, it would be a more 2/3 - 1/3 balance. Love the reflections of the columns and bubbles in the left ones. Since the bubbles first grab your attention, your reflection gives the eye something else to look at. Did you get any fish images? |

What a sweet kitty! I can almost feel the softness of her fur in your image. Glad you didn't over-sharpen the fur. Good job lightening everything from the original dark image. You might want to run the image through a deNoise plug-in. Those eyes are fantastic. They could be lightened and sharpened a bit more since they are the focus of the image. |

Great capture! Lucky you to get this shot. I love the position of the animals and catchlight in mom's eye. Maybe try darkening the background since it blends in somewhat with the coloring of the Wallabies. Then lighten them a bit and add a touch of contrast, if needed. I can't believe how tiny the forearms are compared to the rest of the body! |

Thanks - Glad you got the message I was trying to convey. I cropped the "ends" so the image could be larger than one inch tall. I'm waiting for your quote or caption to use! 😠|

I considered cropping the image so the center of interest was on the 3 girls looking at their phones. However, I liked it better this way as a social commentary (cell phones)! I could probably do some work to keep the same size, but focus on the girls. What do you think?
Joan - Thanks! I'm sure you saw a similar scene - unless you went before cell phones became pocket cameras! |
