3 Jan 23 Comment This is such an eye-catching image. It ticks all the boxes imo and I love it's graphic nature. Jan 29th
3 Jan 23 Comment Many thanks to everyone. I especially like LuAnne's placing the cricket in the centre of the Golden Spiral and that also uses Joan's idea about cropping from the right. I have also taken several people's advice and darkened the background. Jan 29th
3 Jan 23 Comment Hi Mary Ann, I'm impressed. The thing with still life is that you have to do all of it - no beautiful model or lovely landscape landscape already there. And you have done this so well, great colours and shapes and that second bowl balances it beautifully. I didn't notice the dryness of the lemon until others pointed it out but I was taken with the little seed - nice touch. Jan 8th
3 Jan 23 Comment Hi Kieu-Hahn
So many curves! I like the repetition in this image and I think the curve in the wall to the left and in the floor adds to it. I like the colour in the original image, too.

3 Jan 23 Comment This is a gorgeous image. The layers really make it, right up to the clouds at the top. I like that you cropped to the aspens in the foreground but agree that they are a bit bright. My attention tended to get stuck on them. I had a play with this image, too (perhaps because I should be doing housework). I lightened the midground - I think I prefer your midground) but I also reduced the exposure and the highlights of the aspens in the foreground. Jan 6th
3 Jan 23 Comment I like it, too. Great colours and shapes and you can see enough to know they are people and to construct a story around them. I think the lack of conventional clarity encourages the viewer to try to make a story. Knowing that it's an art gallery my story is that they don't like the painting they've passed. I think the fact that they are walking our of the right side of the image encourages that interpretation. Jan 6th
3 Jan 23 Comment Another intriguing image. I like the swirls in the frame against the unswirly background but don't love the colours. I couldn't resist having a play with the original because I could see some interesting colours and shapes in it. I just increased vibrance and saturation and dehaze then flipped it vertically. I don't like mine more but am amused at what a different image it is. Jan 6th
