The black and white edit is a good choice for emphasizing the fish drying racks. But I'm going against the consensus and say I prefer the color overall. I also agree a 16:9 crop may work well and to leave the left uncropped so it's not crowded. It is a well done docu-style image. |

Very nice edit. I like the color tones and warmth. The blur was a good choice but it feels slightly overdone to me. Too bad you could not get back further away from it but well done with what you had to work with; 18mm a good choice. |

I like the composition with the chair in the v of the mountains and the colors around it. The light hitting the chair it also makes it pop. I agree with raising shadows a bit. I do wish I could see more of the water. Maybe if it was shot in blue hour before sunset we could see more water and more detail in the mountains. But I know timing can be difficult sometimes. |

Thank you for your feedback. It does look great in black and white. I have it on canvas in B&W on my wall. |

It must have been amazing to see that glacier in person. The simplistic color palate is appealing/soothing and the textures give interest. I really like the composition of this image. It's great that you were able to get the width of the glacier with your 24mm. On my iPad I see a lot of grain; more than I'd think there would be for low resolution . Your iso is low so not sure what is causing that. An Alaskan photo trip is definitely on my bucket list. |

This is a very interesting image especially with the explanation. Those clouds are awesome, both the foreground clouds and as well as the dust clouds. They must move fast. The foreground Everglades gives the image a sense of place and grounds it. The colors all work well together but the sand clouds really draw my eye. |

Nice image! I had completely forgotten about this event. I too was so mad at myself. I got some decent images at 1-2 am, Friday, when I remembered. I looked out my window at midnight and noticed the ribbons which were colorless by that time so grabbed my camera and headed to a dark area where my camera picked up some color. Lots of mistakes made. Oh well. I like the silhouettes in your image which allow the eye to really see the colors. I didn't see anything here worth photographing on Saturday so glad you got to get a second chance then. I like the vertical rays. They give more interest. |

Thank you so much Michael. The weather here can change quickly. And those clouds can move fast. Hopefully the next time you visit Mt Hood will be out. |

Hopefully feeling cold in your "sauna" part of the country is a good thing! :)
Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad your eye moved so freely. I think there probably are glaciers which may be the whiter areas. But the sun was pretty bright at 9am too. |
