36 Apr 24 Reply Thank you for your feedback. I left the gate as is because it reflects the color in the sky. I tried to edit for what I really saw but with a touch more vibrancy. Apr 29th
36 Apr 24 Reply Good advice. Thank you. Apr 29th
36 Apr 24 Reply Thank you. I see what you mean. See my response to Barbara regarding the halo. Apr 22nd
36 Apr 24 Reply Thank you so much. Apr 22nd
36 Apr 24 Reply Thank you so much for your critique. I did work to remove the glow. I need to go back and review my edits to find what caused it. I darkened the distant hills I believe. So I think that is part of the problem. I didn't see the lights as an issue because I know what they're from but I need to think of how someone else may see it. Simplifying an image is something I need to work through on. Apr 22nd
36 Apr 24 Comment This is a beautiful scene. I love the light, textures, colors and vibrancy. It looks like evening golden hour? Very nice depth and I like how the background fades into the haze but there are still nice layers. If it were my image I would probably raise the shadows on the tree on the right just slightly and darken the green branches and grass below it. I really like the sky. It looks very natural. Did you have to do anything to it? If so, you did a great job imo. Apr 15th
36 Apr 24 Comment Well done with your edits bringing the image to life with a dramatic sky that doesn't take away from the rest of the scene. My eye is able to move around to take it all in. Except it does get pulled down to the roof. At first I thought it would be better without it but no, I think it gives a good sense of your point of view and adds to the story. I would probably darken that corner just a bit so the roof doesn't pull attention to it so much. Nice detail. Phones these days have great cameras. Apr 15th
36 Apr 24 Comment I have seen this image a time or two. It is an iconic scene that you have captured beautifully in composition and your edits. However I do prefer to colder feeling in the original (the blue tone). The red buildings pop nicely against the snow and rocky landscape. I like that you cropped centered the tall peak/rock but the buildings are off center. Apr 15th

36 Apr 24 Reply Thank you for your input Larry. This sunset was shot in my rural neighborhood with the sunset over SW Washington/Portland city lights. That is the only reason I left the lights because they are from the city. Maybe there needs to be more lights to be effective…. Personally, I like the foreground and telephone poles. Don't they tell a story or add to it? Shooting from a lower angle may give a nice perspective but for this image I was using the road as a leading line. Apr 15th
36 Apr 24 Comment I love foggy images. They can be difficult to edit so well done there. I love the serene, cool feeling of this with the trawlers anchored off shore. They are sharp against the soft muted colors behind them. Well done. Apr 13th
36 Apr 24 Comment Hi Larry. I love your idea of bringing your foreground with you. I'll need to remember that. Nice Milky Way image. It is too bad you could not get the full arch. My only critique is that the tent is so bright that it keeps pulling my eye away from the Milky Way. I would use a linear grad to decrease brightness and or a brush to decrease the brightness of the tent. Apr 13th
36 Apr 24 Comment A nice serene image with drama in the sky. Love the colors and texture of the grass. Well balanced composition. Very nice editing. Apr 13th
