36 Dec 23 Reply Thank you for your comments. I edited this in Lightroom Classic. I did mask out the sky separately and toned it down. That's what is giving it the grayish look. I believe I decreased highlights which I should not have done. So it should be an easy fix to reverse that. It might also have been the Becasso app. If so, I should be able to easily mask out that section and bring through the underlying image. Thank you. Dec 31st
36 Dec 23 Reply I agree that the background light needs to be fixed. Thank you so much. I am not quite mastering Photoshop yet, so I'll have to fix it in Lightroom. But I think I can. Otherwise, when I get Photoshop figured out, this will be one of the images I work on first! Dec 31st
36 Dec 23 Reply Thank you for your comments. See what you mean about the tree blocking the path but the view on the other side of the foreground tree didn't give me the same feeling as this view. And I believe I can fix that background light. Thank you again. Dec 31st

36 Dec 23 Reply Thank you so much for your criticism. I actually read this a few weeks ago and meant to reply. And the month just got away from me. So I apologize for that. I do see what you mean about the light in the background not looking right. Can easily correct that. Dec 31st
36 Dec 23 Comment I really like this photo. I love how you edited and the colors as well. I agree to keep those stumps on horizon as I do think they balance out the photo. The leading line is quite massive, but very effective in that foreground stump so having something to balance it in the background is good. As far as the ethics of cloning objects out or removing objects. I am more of a fine art photographer, so I tend to do that kind of thing anyway when it's a distraction in my mind. So I believe it is personal choice. I think if you are changing essence of the photograph through editing it can become something like a lie especially if competing in nature photography. Dec 31st
36 Dec 23 Comment Beautiful colors in this image. Those mountains are amazing! You've captured them very well with only one vantage point. I'll have to remember check out stairs, lol. I agree about cropping out the cliff on the right. Dec 31st
36 Dec 23 Comment Very nice shot. I love old ramshackle buildings. This works well in sepia, does give it an old look. My only criticism is, I would like to see some differentiation between the building and its surroundings. That roof is amazing isn't it? I also love all the textures in this image. Dec 31st
36 Dec 23 Comment Very cool image! I like the textures a lot, but the photographer in the foreground does really make the photo. And it really gives a sense of scale of this enormous area. Black and white was a perfect choice. I would like to see more shadows, probably a personal choice. Dec 31st
36 Dec 23 Comment I like the image. It's very well composed with a frame within a frame. The color is very nice. Specially, in the night lighting. I do agree, the green light is a touch distracting. Otherwise I really like it. Dec 31st
