Thank you for that Larry. That sounds like a great idea. I'll remember it for next time. |

Thank you for your comments. I think the best way to take this would have been to take a photo of the foreground before dark, decrease exposure in post then do a composite. But this was my first MW experience. |

I appreciate your comments. It was so fun especially with the meteor show! I don't know how to get a lower iso shooting at night focusing on a dark sky. I'll try Topaz. The halo wasn't as noticeable in LR. It seems more noticeable after uploading. I also lightened the sky which I think made it even more noticeable. I have a few edits of this; one more blue and one more natural. I think the best way to take this would have been to take a photo of the foreground before dark, decrease exposure in post then do a composite. But this was my first MW experience. |

Thank you! Yes, the halo became more visible after I uploaded for some reason. I think there is too much contrast with the masks. |

I just updated Topaz so I could put this through that. I agree too many stars. I didn't even star stack this one. I will try your idea. Thank you. |

Thank your for your comments. I don't know anything about the parts of the MW so I didn't know there was a black horse until you pointed it out! Lol. I'd like to say I did but.… I shot at 35mm because it was the only lens I had with that low of an fstop. I just updated Topaz so I may try this through that. Regarding focus the instructor had us focus on the mountain before dark then told us not to touch the focus…I forgot and touched it :( I have a habit of constantly focusing. So he had me focus on the edge of some dark trees to get the infinity focus back. |

Lovely scene. I really need to get out there to shot the Palouse! I love landscapes, of course, and I love old barns so this ticks the boxes for me! To me this image feels too soft. Maybe that is editIng preference. But I would like to see a sharper barn and foreground. It does have a painterly feel to it so maybe that is what you intended? One thing that keeps grabbing my eye is something that looks like a distortion in the grass just to the left and below the barn. Overall it's a very nice image. |

Wow what a process! But it worked very well I think. It's a great image. Your edits are effective and the nice foreground is very clear. Great work. |
