36 Jul 23 Comment Great job achieving your goal! A very interesting image indeed. I like the pastel colors against the golden grass and that the clouds still have some structure. I'm not sure I like the electrical lines and poles. For me they kinda impose upon a fine art "artistic" image. Jul 23rd
36 Jul 23 Comment Drone shots are so cool. I love the advantage points you can shoot from. It's a great tool to add to your photography. I like your editing but it also emphasized that LA smog on the horizon. I'd probably mask the sky and edit it separately so as to minimize that smoggy layer. Or dodge and burn? I'm just learning photoshop but I think that could work? I'm with Larry regarding the road. It distracts my eye as it seems a bit harsh in this sky view nature landscape. Jul 23rd
36 Jul 23 Comment I agree with everyone else, wow! It seems unanimous. I'm learning PS and this photo gives me encouragement to keeping pushing through it when I see your original image (RAW?) and what you created. Just gorgeous with textures, light and the drama! Jul 23rd
36 Jul 23 Comment A beautiful image! The color layers and patterns pop out to be. The grain elevators help tell the story. I'd be tempted to decrease exposure just a touch but that's personal preference. And I agree with Arne I'd possibly add a grad at the bottom and I also like to add a touch of vignette as these are how I add depth. Jul 23rd

36 Jul 23 Comment I like the story this image tells with the oncoming storm. I wish the lightening bolts were more prominent but they seem like they were a safe distance away. Too bad you didn't have more time to try different compositions. I wonder if moving back a little and to the right would work? The jetty of dark rocks is too prominent to my eye and I'd like to see more of the storm. I'll have to check out those apps you mentioned. Jul 21st
36 Jul 23 Comment Very nice serene image with soft colors. I agree to lower the camera just a little but not so much that the rock jetty is level with the water horizon. I'd also consider moving to the left or cropping this so the water line at the sand comes out of the lower left corner (my preference). I also really the sun glow across the water onto the sand. That sand with the great wave patterns is beautiful and I think should be more prominent. I think the lower camera angle and selectively increasing the oranges, yellows and reds would help to achieve this along adjusting highlights as needed. At least that is what I'd try. Jul 21st
36 Jul 23 Reply Ha ha! Okay thank you. Don't want the lake looking like milk. ;) Jul 21st

36 Jul 23 Comment I took into account everyone's advice. Barbara I read yours, thank you. I do like this better. I was even able to heal out some grass that overlapped the rocks Larry. I did not have any other shots with a better angle. I opened the shadows in the trees on the left and desaturated the people and the bright clothing. Also reworked the sky, Michael and decreased the bright cloud. The rocks are granite and are very crunchy looking in person Barbara, but I did decrease the clarity which helped I think. Jul 20th
36 Jul 23 Reply Thank you for all your suggestions. I did use brushes to decrease the brightness of the clouds. As I told Larry, I need to get better at being more cognizant of my positioning when I take a photo for a better in camera composition. And I do have filters I just need to remember to use the darn things! Lol. But I see what you mean. Jul 19th
36 Jul 23 Reply Thank you for your critique. I always learn so much or am reminded of things lol. I guess I try to create drama where it's appropriate. This isn't really a dramatic scene anyway. I still need to work on my positioning when I take photos for better in camera composition. I will look at what I can do to "calm down" the colors of the clothing. And maybe I have another shot with better positioning. Jul 19th
