Thank you for your feedback Bill. I can do the same in LRc. I think maybe I was so concerned with the color of the water I overlooked the trees. |

Vibrant eye catching colors! I like how the red jacket works with the mural and especially like how you caught the other woman looking up at the mural. When I look closer I can see the coffee pot/espresso machine (?) in the window and the goings on through the doorway. A very interesting street scene. But the two blurry people don't add anything to it for me. They make the lower right corner look distorted. |

Thank you. Now that I am editing on my Mac I can see the colors better. I'm noticing a big difference that way between edits on my iPad with LR vs edits on my new Mac with LRc. |

I like your editing. The colors are nice and warm but the sky is a touch to blue for me. It all looks cleaner than it really is lol. Your original looks a little more realistic but this is a nicer appearance for sure. I'd do the same edits but lighten the sky a touch. I'm originally from the Southern California area. This looks like the Irvine area from what I can remember. For me, the lower right hand corner does nothing for the image. I'd crop it in and up so the freeway is coming out of the lower left corner giving it and the buildings on the left more prominence. I wonder if you shot this around 10 -12 am as the freeway is a bit light on traffic lol. |

I like the dreamy feel of this image. My concern when I take photos like this is that some would question the clarity and think I took a blurry photo. It works great in black and white. The rooftop at the bottom is distracting for me. I wonder if there was another vantage point from which you could have shot this image because I do like the buildings in the upper left especially with the spire. |

I really like this image especially in black and white. I'd assume in color the sky really doesn't work. So for me in black and white it works because the sky is not detracting from the dunes and when I do look above the dunes and see the homes (faded nicely by your dof) it gives the whole scene perspective in that humanity is enduring this storm as seen by the blown grasses and sand. The picture above with the fake sky sure does give the scene more drama and elevates the feeling of a dangerous hurricane storm which is not as apparent in your image. But I wonder if you use the sky mask with de-haze and other sliders as needed if you could bring out the actual sky. If this works then you'd be staying true to the actual scene. But to me this is still a beautiful black and white image. |

That is amazing that is is all made out of sand! Happy belated holiday to you too! I like how you framed it between the lit trees and the lighted fountain lights. Even though you had to shoot it from a distance the detail is still very nice. |

Great ideas. I am familiar and have used all those editing techniques. My eye just missed it with this image I guess. This is also one of the last images edited on my iPad before I got my Mac with LRc. It is better color calibrated. I'll have to do a re-edit on my Mac. |

If you don't mind me adding… you can tone down the bright area at the bottom of the image using linear gradient if you use LR. I have learned from another highly acclaimed landscape photographer that going from dark to light helps the draw the eye into the image. He will use the linear gradient to do this. |

I really like the composition with the disappearing road. The colors are beautiful yet natural looking. Great job editing. Something about the top right and lower left corners take away from the rest of the image for me. I think it's because to my eye they add nothing. I would crop in closer so that the fences on each side start from the lower corners and this would fill the frame with the beautiful tree lined road. Just my opinion on that. Still a beautiful image. |

Thank you for your comment. I believe this was shot late afternoon. I think I oversaturated a bit in post processing. I didn't really see it until now. I try not to do that but my eyes didn't catch it I guess. |

Thank you for your review. I see what you mean about the trees being too green. I should have edited locally for color and not globally. |

Sorry, I guess I didn't clarify which is the original. The photos are backwards. The RAW is posted. Please reverse the photos. Thank you. |
