Mike, Great shot. It's got a lot of things going on and you managed to capture the motion at a point where the head's of all players are visible and the spectators aren't all engaged in the game. Since i'm always looking to crop images, I was thinking a slight crop off the left side of the image might hold the viewer more focused on the game. Not sure but a thought. Mark |

Chris, I'm intrigued with the duplication of the refraction in the three droplets to the right of the primary one. Not sure if there was a way to enhance them or not but can't help but think it's an interesting component of the shot. Mark |

Adrian, While i agree that the apparatus is more of a pano, i think the pano lacks enough negative space to balance the image. While the square format has too much negative space as you noted, I'm inclined to add a bit more sky to the pano to create balance. Regarding removal of the three wires, it does help and adds more negative space but it's up to you whether you are comfortable removing components from an image. Mark |

Emil,
I had the same response as Pete. The original is too bright in the upper left. It pulls my eye away from the path, but almost creating a "heavenly" pull. Pete's changes help keep the viewer focused and traveling down the path helping to hold the composition together. Love the idea and look forward to your version of the image after the discussion. Kamal, not an easy shot to make. Between the movement of the plane and vibration, you did a great job. The two changes, i'd suggest were both noted above. Align the top of the ruins with the top edge of the image to show more intentional composition and open up the crop so more of the forest is included. Great job. Thank you for sharing. Mark |

Pete, you choose one of my favorite subjects. Fungi! but i hunt them, photograph them then hopefully eat them. :).
I love the composition and use of multiple types of fungi. I also like the darker image. It has more impact but also results in the foreground pattern becoming less prominent. |

Emil,
I always appreciate your constructive modifications. I haven't edited this image for many years, way before the masking options in LRP. So you've inspired me to go back and work on it some more.
Thanks, take care, stay safe and keep on shooting! |
