Israel, I think I'm with Emil regarding simplifying the image. his edits made it easier for me to see the grape vines but you might even consider a real abstract rendering and take out all of the grass, increasing the contrast and ending up with a graphic image only. Mark |

Bob, I think the moment you capture is outstanding but for me, my attention went right to the straight leg not the lifted one. The straight leg was such a contrast and disappeared into the grass making me question whether it was real or a statue. |

Try it and see what you get. I've been traveling and otherwise would have made the crop for you to see. However, it's a very nice image as is, so make sure what you end up with is what you like.

Wow, it's getting better all the time. I really like this as well as Adrian's version. Just goes to show that there are many pictures within the picture. Now that I'm home, I'll have to play with it some more and see what I come up with. Thank you for taking the time to play with it. Seeing it makes it a lot easier to visualize. |

Thank you. The vertical crop definitely does a better job of capturing the relationship between the tree and building. |

I like your final cut best. Removing the background really got me to focus on the Two Bob's and forced me right into the face of the robot. At first I thought it was some kind of odd Japanese make up. And again, by converting it to monochrome you got rid of a lot of distractions that really didn't contribute to your subject. Great image!

I'd say you nailed it. The conversion and post processing did a great job of pulling the wires and tower out of the fog directing my eye right into the image. Very very nice. I'll have to check out Cole's work. |

Your conversion and cropping really make this shot and bring out the best of the two individuals. You also managed to focus my attention on the tattoos which wasn't easy. But it is a bit scarry for me to think of being tattooed like a skeleton and trying to live in our world. |

You did a very nice job of capturing this image. The monochrome is more dramatic and aligning it so the train appears to be going uphill gives the composition tension that holds the viewers eye. It's minor but you might leave a bit more space below the train so more of the river and pier are visible but it's not a big issue. |
