Wow, reminds me of Monet's Lilies. You've done a great job of using composition and motion to isolate the Lily pads out of a scene that would otherwise be chaotic. I do agree that the color image does a better job of pushing my eye to the Lilies but still like both. |

Normally, I'd object to centering the image but in this case I like the way you've used the trees and sky to create an offset balance to the temple. Your choice of centering the subject also nicely complements the symmetry of the temple design. As for workflow, I'm not sure I have the patience nor skill to implement Oliver's process but I do like the enhancements his process adds to the image. |

I agree that your choice of subject works very well with monochrome. Leaving it without boarders also enhances the appearance that it's floating in open space. Nicely done!

I really like the confusion created by the birds. My first response was Birds, Birds Birds and Alfred Hitchcock. But i do like it and removing a few of the birds is a good idea. |

Love it. this is one of the challenges I set for myself. I'm intrigued with how tree trunks weave there way though the forest and always look for opportunities to draw them out of an image to provide more structure to a forest scene. Great job on this one. |

I get it. I actually have some PS skills but have forgotten so many that it's always a game of hunt and peck to get something done. Thanks for the ideas though, I'll have to go play a bit and see what I come up with. |
