Excellent images, all three shots. Plus the fact you were shooting from a boat. Your preplanning and research before the trip worked very well. |

When first looking at this scene I noticed a little white tag on the longhorn's left ear and thought it should/could be easily removed. After returning to the scene and seeing Sheldon's edit of the tree trunk I am in agreement with his opinion. |

I am in agreement with the comments suggesting cropping from the top of the falls. I find the bottom of the falls with the rocks of more interest. The cropped version you have presented is where the peacefulness of the scene lies. I can easily follow the downward flow of the water with the slight waves over the rocks. Slow, calm movement creates a tranquil scene. |

Good focus on the most important parts of the praying mantis. The shadows under the body of this insect add depth to the image. Thoughtful thinking to use a jar for security reasons and the return to nature. Nice catch. |

I like the position from which you have photographed. Low which gives the tracks a wideness that is uncommon with railroad tracks. The colorful flowers and the hints of wood in between the outer rails are ever so nice. The colors in the sky have a similarity to the flowers. I have a very calming and thoughtful feeling when viewing this image. |

I find "abstract" photos fascinating. They create questions in one's mind. What was the artist thinking when the work was created. If I were the artist I would clone in the little white spot on the lower left. |

Hi Murphy, A well focused bee in it's own environment and placed nicely in the frame. Fantasizing, I see a bee with two eyes, a mustache and a beard. Seriously, you have done a good job of photographing Honey Bee. |

Hi Charlie, The seemingly random placement of the M&M's is interesting, colorful and creative against the black reflective background. I just wonder how long you spent creating the placement and how often it was changed.
Fun, fun and even more fun? |

Congratulations on your additional Nikonian Wildlife winning photograph. The colors against the black background are really appealing and do stand out, particularly the blue and rust colors. Good work! |

Neal, Great color and sharpness. I like the inclusion of the pieces of dried wood which is a compliment to the vivid colors of the desert plants. While there is much to enjoy in this image, I might consider removing the cacti (?) in the lower third of the frame. Not the corner area but the large double cacti just beneath the pink bloom and tip of wood.

Hi Barbara, Yes, I can see why this is one of your favorite images. Framed and on the wall? Excellent composition, placed in the corner of the frame, including the outer petals which have a different colorization from the stunning central part of the flower. Great! |

Hi Charlie, Thank you for helpful suggestions. A much improved image. I have always wondered about shadows on the background, Yes? or No? Question answered! The grain on the foreground completes the image. Yes, the flowers are carnations. Thanks for your thoughtful critique! |
