I think back on how you used a piece of brown paper as background on an image of branches and pine cones. So simple, so well thought out and so successful. 63 May 23 Comment Hello Alane, Great color and sharpness in the Limoges box. I'm not too sure about the vignette. To my eye there seems to be a hazy incandescent light surrounding the beautiful box. I feel that distracts from the subject which is so very special. May 12th
63 May 23 Comment In several of your recent bug images you have used a leaf as a background. I think that is an excellent choice. The leaf as well as the subject is in fine focus. I particularly like the leaf lines and veins. Great background for the finely focused and well placed bug specimen. May 12th
63 May 23 Comment Hi Barbara-Good choice of converting to B&W. Some photos look more interesting converted and I think this would be one of them. I like the composition with the ring of the door being just off center and the door bracket above the center of the frame. A small, but creative choice, in composition. Focus is fine and demonstrates the age of the door well. May 12th
