Hi Brian, As another member suggested your subject this round is a good story telling image. One can imagine how the boat was left there, why and by whom. Will it be retrieved, etc., etc. The composition stimulates questions and interest.
The sunlit sand and boat, darkened a bit would add even more appeal.

Well, you have lost the upward bottom line which almost met up with downward slanting line of the top. I thought the two opposing lines added interest. It's a hard call. Maybe one of the other members has a suggestion. Sounds like the City Hall is in your area. Perhaps you could return for another visit with creative juices flowing. |

Hi Sheldon, This image has so much to like, the colors, lines both vertical and diagonal under the blue sky. But the pillar and what to do about it. In my view I think it's got to go....but you said you tried that and were not pleased. The only suggestion I can make is to take the top third of the pillar out and keep the diagonal line. But that may be a problem with the openings in the line. They create interest. If necessary crop a little off the bottom of the frame. I'm all for a little abstraction. |

Hi John, Very nice close up of the big cat with a relaxed posture. The eye indicates he/she is just resting and enjoying the moment. Very sharp with good lighting and color. I like the composition being up close with only the head and paws visible. |

Greetings....You have met your goals in this portrait. Caitlyn looks very calm and relaxed. I like her position in the square frame and the typical "teen age" clothing she is wearing. All technical aspects are accomplished; sharpness, exposure and lighting. Very nice! |

Greetings, The Moulton Barn....a much photographed structure in the Grand Tetons. I like your infra-red image as it is a change from what one usually views when looking at the scene. The sky with an interesting cloud formation and the snow covered mountains behind the barn are impressive. |

Greetings-Perfectly picturesque! I cannot think of a way of improvement. The colors are great interspersed between the greenery. I like the composition with the church just to the left of center. Reflections are an added bonus. Very Nice! |

Hi Neal, Being familiar with "stink bugs" as they are living in my area of the States I can appreciate your image. I, personally, do not care for the black foreground. To my eye it is too dark and with the out of focus area on the left is not complimentary to the rest of the image. |

Hi Murphy, What joy to have a field of Dahlias. They are beautiful flowers and come with many varieties. I like your composition and the area in which the bee landed. Good focus and sharp. Nice work! |

H Barbara, I think the flower you photographed may be an alstroemeria or Peruvian lily. They are great in arrangements as they have a long "shelf" life. I have to agree with Charles as to the saturation. (A little too intense.) I like the dark background combined with the thin orange stroke. It all works together but for me it's not a peaceful image. |

Hi Alane: Lovely fall image, focus is excellent, the many colors blend together nicely and the lighting is excellent. No complaints, I like the fact you have included the dried husks of the corn cobs. If this were my composition I would would have given consideration to placing the husks on the bottom of the frame. The corn would then have a place to rest. I think your idea of including it was really a great compositional effect. |
