Ahhh... Cell phones. Some people are not complimentary about the photos we make with them but I do not agree. You did well. In a perfect world I would prefer that the grasses in front of the sheep would not be out of focus. Windy? The rock in the left corner of the image is in good focus.
Anyone interested in what cell phones can accomplish view Jerry Hug's images in Group #51. He is an excellent photographer and teaches regarding cell phones. Snapseed is one of the apps he uses. |

Post processing has made a great improvement in this image. The sky now has interest with the billowing clouds, there is color in the train cars and the printing on the elevator is now readable. Very nice composition. You were working with a bland sky and have made good overall corrections. |

I do agree this is a pleasant and nostalgic country scene. One of it's strong points is the diagonal fence line with the cattle in the foreground. I do like all the wooden fencing in the image. Following Allen's suggestions regarding cropping the barn and white building on the right would make this a less "busy" image. My eye does not have a place to rest. |

The title of this image reminded me of Shaikh. I do not see the coffee pot. He always found distinctive items in some of his "abstract type" images. This is a nice travel photograph with sharp foreground and very acceptable background. Good color as Allen mentioned. |

Greetings Charles,
Absolutely stunning presentation. The color combination of blue and gold complement one another. I like the combined textures of the background with the material the base is sitting on. The reflection on the base is a bonus. Your post processing of a raw image brought the subject alive. |

Hi Murphy, Very nice lighting. Your inclusion of the stem and leaves is probably not the usual composition, I like it as it's not the ordinary shot of teasel. Fine focus and a effective background make this a winning photograph. |

Hi Barbara, A colorful image to cheer us in the dark days of winter. I like it. Interesting how the bit of green partially surrounds the bloom making for an appealing background. The two bee's add interest as well. I am interested in what others will comment on the missing stem. I have questioned that with some of my flower photographs. |

Hello Neal,
Being the last to comment on your image I am in agreement with all except for the remarks regarding the inset border. I feel it is in competition with the background. The chosen color is perfect. I would like to see the border around the frame in this case. An inset border is fine with a black/plain background. Just a personal preference. |

Hi Alane, I agree with the previous comments in regards to the background being too busy and the head of the bird being too close to the top of the frame.
However, the colors are bright, the focus is sharp and it's a nice close up portrait. Cell phones are great in emergencies and otherwise.
