I agree with David's comments. I like the composition with the trombone player photographed from the side and on an angle. You did well isolating him and his instrument in a busy crowd. |

I like your idea with the gate being the subject of this image. The gate with it's triangular shape is of interest. Also the light peeking through the bars of the gate. (Maybe tone down the couple of hot spots)
I do think the foliage surrounding the gate is too dark. If lightened, it would make an improvement as in the first example Stephen has suggested. |

Good action shot of a brightly colored bird. Interest lies in how he is stepping on the leaves making his way across the water. I would like to see the background a little more subdued, for me it seems to distract from the subject. |

I like the post processing work you have done on this image. The sky is greatly improved with the pink being emphasized.
Also, the rocky shoreline with water has more interest. I also like the composition in this image. The placement of the light house with a backdrop of trees is nicely located in the frame. Along with the leading line up to it. Very nice! Almost forgot the slim white stroke around the image. It's a finishing touch. |

To me, this is a stunning image. It has all the qualities of perfection. First of all interest and impact. There is an emotional attachment to the Statue of Liberality. All the technical quantities are right on; sharpness, exposure, lighting and I particularly like the straight on composition. Converting to b&w was an excellent choice. The sky, with its few puffy clouds and the streams of light, convey a sense of reverence. Excellent work! |

Unusual composition which I find interesting. I like the curve of the stem, the placement of the rose at the bottom of the frame and the dark background. I do have a suggestion which would be to place a stroke around the outer edge of the image. It would separate the image from the background. As is though, the composition has impact. Good find! |

Hi Barbara, An impressive flower image in which the color is superb. I like the composition with the center of the mum being in the lower right corner of the frame. You are getting some excellent advice from both Neil and Charles. Your persistence will pay off and you may soon be the person giving advice to someone new to focus stacking. |

Greetings, Charles to Group 63. I particularly like the lighting in your image. The bee seems to be nicely enfolded in the layers of soft petals. Good focus with a longer lens and being hand held. Nicely composed with the bee being in the upper left section of the frame. I do agree with Murphy regarding the green leaf in the lower right corner. |

Hi Alane, Your ability to see simple subjects and photograph them is refreshing. Love the bright colors. The sharpness of the entire pinwheel is excellent and nicely placed in the frame. Following the suggestions from other members regarding the background would really make this image a winner |

Hello Richard, An impressive image....with the butterfly in flight. Sharp focus and good placement in the frame. The background is nicely blurred and the thin stroke around the frame completes the presentation. |
