Hi John, Very impressive. Sometime when a good sky is a necessity it just isn't there but you did good by converting the photo to B&W. I like your idea of a foreground, middle ground and background composition. Good research on how the Tetons got their name. Interesting as it the photo. |

Yes, good color contrast. Interesting shadows, too. I like the bits of white material on the lower right of the frame. Good find! |

Hi Shaikh. Great detail on the grasshopper. Good color as well. The combination of pink and green work well together. Of the three images I do prefer the largest which was your choice of display. |

Hi Allen. Good color and lighting in this image. Also a good composition. I like Dr. Hoo and his handler just as they are. No improvement needed in my mind. |

Hi Debbie, When first looking at your image I thought it wasn't quite up to your normal degree of sharpness. I, too, have been going through my older images which leads to additional processing or trying new techniques. I do like the composition and the fact the entire reflection is in the image. |

Welcome to Group 9. Looking forward to more of your photographs. The "Snow, Sheep and Sky" is lovely. The lighting is excellent and I particularly like how the graduated colors of the sky blends into the foreground. The shape of the tree is certainly of interest. The snow lying on the main branches places emphasizes their curves. Very nice! |

Hi Richard, Almost missed you this month but glad you are back. The center parts of an orchid are so intricate and you captured them nicely. Low f stop and ISO. So, the focus stacking feature did it's job. It would be my way to go. Nice work. |

Hi Neal, You have given us another sharp, colorful and properly lit subject. The stroke around the image is a complimentary addition. I would like to see the subject centered in the frame thus avoiding the almost merger of the spiders leg with the stroke. Otherwise a great image.

Hi Alane, I like the composition and sharpness of the seed head. The bee cooperated and is in a nice position. If you applied some saturation to the petals it would look even more attractive. Good work. |

Hi Barbara, Congratulations on a successful focus stack. You have progressed. Good idea with the water droplets. Hope to see more of the same using that technique. |

Hi Murphy, A very attractive image which I like. I am getting to favor abstract art more and more. The conversion to monochrome looks good particularly with this subject. I agree with the comments regarding changing to a horizontal but if you want to keep a portrait style I suggest flipping the image and putting the current top on the bottom. Lighter on top and heavier on the bottom. Suggestions, suggestions! |

Yes, background should be black. Because it was lit from above the lighting is uneven. I worked on it in post processing but it's not as it should be. |
