Hi David, This is a beautiful sunrise picture. I particularly like how the light reflects on the water and between the logs of the pier. Cropping.....maybe a little along the top but if this were my image I would consider cropping along the left side of the frame even though the cloud formations are certainly of interest. |

Adorable kitty. Very nicely composed and creative image. The pumpkin does look as though it has a light inside. Perfect fall picture with good focus and appeal. |

Hi John, I'm all for abstract work so I can really appreciate this image. The colors are so bright and shout out Fall on the Water. I also like the ripple/texture effect. Very, very nice. Explore your "artistic self". |

I agree with your comment that the image doesn't need anything else. The lighting is very good. I especially like the shadows on the petals. The yellow center surrounded by the white petals gives a feeling of purity. I can see some texture in the smooth petals. Very nice. |

Hi Shaikh.....Pretty kitty. You did well with your post processing work. The background is nicely blurred and the kitty is in very good focus. Nice composition! |

Hi Lou,
Good choice of subject matter. I like the orange of the beetles combined with the white of the milkweed. With a little tighter crop in camera you could have avoided the post processing crop that caused some noise. The viewer never knows the conditions the photographer is working with so not to pass judgement. |

Hi Neal....After reading your explanation of the additional processes involved in photographing your insects, I have even more respect for your work. As usual, focus is sharp, colors are complementary, lighting perfect and all contained in a matching border. |

Richard....Very nice specimen with a bit of action in the upper wings. I particularly like the blur. The balance of the body is nice and sharp as is the perch the subject is sitting on. I see exceptionally good color harmony throughout. Soothing background with complimentary vignette. |

Hi Murphy; Color, composition and clarity in this composition are strong points. Lighting as well. The contrasting colors of the tan mushrooms against their green background is a pleasing combination. I like the spaced composition of the two groups with the dominant group being on the right. If my image, I might consider removing the three small mushrooms between the groups to divide the groups even more. The sharp focus brings out the textures in the mushrooms. Lighting could not be better. The reflector is a great tool. |

Hi Barbara, A good use of contrasting colors, the orange rose against the brown mottled background works very well. The composition is nice in that you included the stem with the bright orange flowers. The textures you have been using are an asset to your photographic compositions. |
