I, too, like the blue and green colors underneath the lilies. Good to know about their smoothness. The Chicago Botanical Gardens have great lily ponds. I'll check the few photos I have of them to satisfy my curiosity. |

Good image in that the white is really white with the exception of some of the lower leaves. I like the bit of yellow in the center of the lily; also the post processed vignette. Not having photographed lilies very much I am not familiar with their petals; smooth without much texture? Although, I can see definition. |

Nice bright and sunny fall scene. Several of the flowers on the lower right side of the frame are a different variety than I am familiar with. They are missing the large center brown seed head. The yellow sunflowers against the blue of the sky is outstanding. Very nice! |

Hi Shaikh, Lovely image. I like the composition with the just off center placement of the butterfly in the frame. The branches along the bottom and the out of focus branches along the top create a light strip of good background for the butterfly itself. Nice soft lighting and sharpness in the subject. |

Lovely and inviting image. The strong diagonal line of the grasses make it so. The placement of the beach people in the lower right adds interest and a nice variation of color.
The straight horizon line allows for the entire puffy cloud to be seen. Good color, composition, focus and lighting. Good work!

Perfect...composition, lighting and color. Fine focus as well, front to back. I cannot think of any improvements to be made. Reminds me of when I was biking long distances. There was a road on a Michigan tour such as this that they named the "Tunnel of Trees". However, no Spanish Moss. So, I guess, there is another point in your favor; my emotional attachment. |

Hi Richard: "The Ayes Have It" for the Eyes. Not having a knowledge of insects I went to the internet to find a few definitions of insect body parts. Not surprisingly, humans and insects have similar names for the same parts of their bodies. I see portions of good texture and sharpness in the eyes and mouth. I admire your exploration into the world of small creatures. |

Hi Lou, Abstract photography is one of my favorites. I like the colors and textures in this image particularity the veining on the left side. Others in the group have made several suggestions which are good. You could try either cropping along the right side of the frame or converting to a vertical. I think there are many possibilities for an interesting view of the See Fan. |

Hi Barbara, Nice image and a nice use of a texture. The bud is in focus and the balance of the image has a dreamy, soft look to it which, to me, is appealing. I like the complementary colors and the composition. In particular the bud which is nicely supported by leaves both top and bottom. Good work. |

Hi Neal....There sometimes has to be the odd one in a group. And I'm it in relation to this image.
I really like the front portion of the butterfly, there is not a single "hair" to be missed. I like the complementary color of the wings but do not care for the blur. I congratulate you on your skill of making the antennae over the wing so sharp. The images you present are always thoughtful and well done. |

Hi Murphy, Love the colors and composition. Nature gives us such beauty and you have captured a beautiful fall close-up. I particularly like the composition with the diagonal line of green leaves with their subtle color. A good balance between bright and subdued. All technical qualities are excellent. |
