Hi David, Striking image particularly with the chosen background material. The colors are similar so they work very well together. An extra treat are the shadows of the stamens on two of the petals. Nice lighting, good focus and composition....good work. |

I like the view you have chosen. Most everyone shoots a waterfall straight on. I also like the milky appearance of the water. ND filter worked well; good choice. I agree with Debbie's comment regarding the edges of the image being too dark. But I like the light hitting the large rock at the bottom of the falls. I would clone out the little rock next to it. Interesting image. |

Very nice. I like the background. The term "high contrast"
fits the photo, I think. I've been listening to on line programs and might have the correct description. Great focus and good placement in the frame. |

Hi John, Good flower image. It's nicely centered in the frame with sharp focus and detail. Your first test experience turned out well. I think your started with a very good stand alone photo. |

Hi Jesse, After seeing your last comment I began searching for one of my photos of the Bean at night. I did have one but it wasn't very good. I'll post another one of that area for July. Other than the sunspot your photo is well done. The buildings in the background are nicely focused as well as the reflections in the Bean. aka The Cloud Gate |

Hi Shaikh, For some reason I like the original photograph best. I see more of a variance in color and texture in that image. Possibly do a little more facial sharpening on the original. You do have a good eye for seeing photo opportunities that others may pass by. This is definitely a "good find". |

Hello Patrick, I am a fan of your tulips. I like the color of the background and your post processing work. I, in the past, always liked a black background but now I think color gives a softer more appealing look. The red tulips against the background you chose is extremely pleasing. |

Hi Murphy, Your image has my approval. The yellow against the black background is really outstanding. I can see just a hint of one gear behind another which creates subtle depth and interest. At first I did not see the bit of red at the top of the frame. That is until pointed out. What I did notice is the smaller yellow/orangy/brown gear in the center lower part of the frame. To me it looks as though it doesn't belong. I think it relates to the paint, too clean or perfect. My eye went there immediately. Otherwise, I think you have an interesting image. |

Greetings Neil, An outstanding image, once again. Your images are interesting to me as I have never photographed insects, spiders or such animals. I have not viewed them up close either. An undiscovered world for me. What you present could very well be published in a text book.
I like the diagonal format you have chosen. By not including the entire wings the viewer can focus on the head and body details. Using Helicon assures a fine focus. I like the background material you have used and the lighting is complimentary. |

Hi Richard, (Brave Man) Happy you had good cooperation. Nice focus on head and eye. Also, I like the composition with the snake in the middle of the frame with blurred foreground and background. Very nice. |

Hi David, Welcome to Group 63. Glad to have you join us. The name of your purple flower is allium. It is good for flower arrangements. They just finished blooming in my area, Wisconsin.
I see a well focused image with a nicely blurred background. The portrait type format you chose is good for this type of flower. The only suggestion I have for you is to include the entire flower. Maybe step back a little further for a somewhat more interesting composition. Or possibly a closer view as the flower parts are of interest. Again, welcome!
