Lovely image of great fall colors. I think the swirling pool at the bottom of the frame adds interest. The reflections are super. Just the lower part of the frame would make an interesting abstract. All the technical aspects are right on. So very nice. |

Hi Shaikh, You did a good job with the background in this image. I also think the seeds heads and their wispy threads are in excellent focus. To me, the pod (???) behind the wisps is a distraction. Even though it is not a bright color my eye seems to pick it out first when looking at the image. Could it be blended into the background? Or removed? |

Greetings and compliments on a well done image. The lighting is superb and really makes for an outstanding photograph. I particularly like the blur of the background and the extra light you added to the base which the bird is standing on. Very nice post processing work. |

Hi Jesse, Differing opinions on your bird picture. My opinion......I think you have pretty good focus throughout the image. Like the position of the left leg and foot. The lighting on the tail end of the bird and tree is too bright.
I think you have been given good suggestions on how to make improvements. |

Good title! You have excellent focus especially considering hand held with a long lens. Good photo for an outdoor magazine. |

John, Sometimes I wish I could go back to the original scene and make the slightest adjustment to capture an improved image. But that's not always possible nor can the viewer comment accurately while not being in the situation itself. Safety first! The sky....at first glance, I though perhaps you had taken the picture through the car window (reflections or "artifacts"). |

Hi David, See my comment to Larry. Two separate images, one of the building I was standing in when I took the photo of the City Hall tower and the tower itself. Saturation, saturation. |

Larry, Thanks for looking in. Yes, I am in complete agreement with you regarding the flag. No additional images.
The "original" image was the area from which I took the photo. Two separate images |

Hi Neal, I agree with your decision to make this image a vertical rather than horizontal. I think the change adds a little interest and action to the composition. The focus, lighting and colors are all pleasing with a similar color pallet. Nice work. |

Hi Patrick, Beautiful rose, nice color and lighting. The focus is sharp. Unique idea of placing the rose on the rock with an appropriate title of the image. Wonder which came first, the rock or the rose? I really like the texture you applied as it compliments the rose. I have to agree with Neal as to the color of the original background. (Lower part of the image) To me it seems to conflict with the much preferred texture. I see conflicting tones. Great idea for a good composition. |

Hi Murphy, This is another pleasant photograph to enjoy. The colors are calming. I especially like the purple complimented by the similar color of rock next to it. The diagonal pattern of the campanula alongside of the rock and on top of the moss makes a lovely composition. I like the little plant in the lower right of the frame. |

Hi Paul, The caterpillar has good camouflage colors. He looks as though he belongs and is comfortable in his surroundings.
Good focus and the use of flash is well controlled. Nice find and good photography. |

Hi Richard. Good thought of a B&W conversion. All technical qualities are right on. The composition is good with the center of interest in a nice position. Fine focus throughout. I know you are not a post processing guy but the only thing I can suggest would be a stroke around the frame to separate the image from the background. Otherwise, perfect!!
Added thought.....the stroke is only a personal preference. |
