Nice, dramatic shot of the lion. I like the dark background, it's unusual. The lighting on the face is very good. You could consider cropping along the right side of the frame. In my opinion it would increase the dramatic effect of the image. |

This is an extremely interesting image with good color, lighting and sharpness. The fine focus really makes the image. I also like the composition with the subject on a slight diagonal and located just below the center of the frame. I would like to see the pattern in the water above the subject blended a bit better. My eye is attracted to it but I want to see and enjoy the fine structural formations of the Moon Jelly.

Hi Shaikh....I like your image for this month. I find I am appreciating more and more abstract images than I did previously. I think it is more attractive as a monochrome version than the original. The texture stands out well and the image has a pleasant flow to it. Nicely done. |

Here is my crop. We have more time for photography now with the COVD-19 restrictions. See what you think. |

Hi Jesse-I like the composition... full flower and bee with the petals of the flower behind the main subject. You have a nice blurry background with a complementary bit of yellow. |

John, I agree with you. This image is improved over the one you submitted in September. I did go back and look at your other submission. The cloud is much more dramatic. I still like the strong diagonal line of the composition. Good panorama. |

Hi Paul, Nice image of a spider and it's prey. I like the composition; good placement of the subject in the frame. Even though the focus is not perfect throughout, I find being able to see the fine web the spider is hanging on is remarkable. |

Hi Patrick, Really nice image (Nautilus Shell?) I particularly like the iridescence as it has a nice silvery tone. The colors are pleasing, focus is fine, composition is good. Nevertheless, I do agree with Murphy and Paul about the tightness of the crop along the bottom. Sometimes when attending a workshop I feel rather stressed as there is usually someone behind in a line waiting for the subject I am shooting....so then I miss little composition details. You did a good job! |

Greetings, The coloring in this image is superb. I have never photographed small creatures as you do. Therefore, I never realized how colorful they are. I like the composition with the diagonal line, blurred background and fine focus. The stroke around the image is a good finishing touch. |

Hi Richard,
Glad to have you as a member of Group 63.....Welcome! I like how you have cropped the original image and the new composition. "Daisy" is placed nicely in the frame. The water drops add interest. You have received technical information from group members so I won't add to their advice/suggestions. See you next month. |

Hi Murphy, Well, there is always someone with a differing opinion. I like the original image which is very well done. Color, sharpness and lighting are apparent but I do prefer the abstract version which has all the same qualities. Lately I am enjoying abstract art. I like the bright colors and the vertical zig-zag patterns. I get a happy, carefree feeling looking at it. |
