I really like the bottom portion of this image. The bird is in fine focus with interesting leaves, swirls and reflections in the foreground. I like the raised foot and the translucent back wing. As Debbie mentioned the blur on the front wing shows motion. For me, the background above the birds head is distracting. With a bit of editing this can be a really attractive image. |

Very nice. I like the B&W choice you made in Silver Effects.
It's a fascinating area and you have made an appealing photo of it. I would like to return to the Palouse. |

Hi Shikh, Creative image......I agree! The colors are very nice. Plus the leaves are sharp and the background is out of focus as it should be. Good lighting on the leaves. |

Hi Allen, I like the "dreaminess" of this image. Also the fact there is a foreground, middle ground and background. The slight frame around the image is helpful in separation from the black background of the website. I wonder if you had considered photographing in the landscape mode. To my eye, everything is too contained in this mode. I want to see more as it's such a peaceful scene. Interesting lighting on the foreground. |

Hi Debbie, I really like this image especially the composition with the boat on the right side of the frame. The sky you worked in is a good addition. The color of the clouds compliment the boat color. In my opinion, saturation or wow factor, is in the eye of the maker/beholder. I just attended our club's Chapter Showcase meeting. Several of the images selected for the showcase were heavily saturated. It seems, to me, that is a current trend although I do like Stuart Caine's approach. The sky reflection is apparent on the beach which is a plus. |

Wow Jesse, For a first attempt at flower photography you made a professional looking image. The composition is perfect. I like the diagonal form and the focus is right on. Kudos for hand holding. Personally I like the background color as it picks up the color of the orchid's center. I'm sure the lines being cloned out makes an image which is even better. |

A coincidence...after reading your comment I checked Group 48. Interesting interchange between you and Margaret Sprott. I may be in a similar situation this weekend. The Wisconsin Chapter is selecting photos for the Chapter Showcase. One of the images I will enter has a background of a piece of art and a foreground of my creation. I'll post it on Group 9 next month and let you know the outcome.
I will be in Florida in April...The Gulf side. A week long tour. |

Hi Beverly....Good to hear from you and read your nice comment. I would love to return to the Palouse in the Spring. For me, it's a special kind of place. I will have to check your groups periodically and see what you are up to. |

Greetings Neal, It is nice to see one of your captures in it's natural habitat. Good composition. The back wing is not bothersome to me. As suggested, the background could be darkened some for more appeal but I would not suggest doing anything with the "grasses" along the right side of the image. The lighting there is superb. |

Hi Rosangela, I have returned to the website several different times and days and have failed to see "The Bull in the Tree". In the past I can recognize what you have suggested or see my own interpretation of your finding. This time I see colors that work together well but not a specific animal/object. But...keep alert and continue as you have been. |

Welcome to Group 63. Looking forward to seeing more of your innovative images. The interesting part of your image is how you captured the precise moment when the match tip was half lit. Patience was applied! Appealing colors and fine focus on the portion of match stick not in flames. |

A mouth watering specimen. Sharp focus, good color and lighting. If you were to add a white, green or red frame around the image the strawberry would stand out from the background. In my opinion that would make the image really pop! I do like the red against the black background. |

A lovely image with excellent focus. The plain background complements the green foliage and the flower. If I were to make a totally "nit-picking" comment it would be on the out of focus "hairs" on the vertical stem of the plant. I admire and find interesting all of your images. Color, lighting and composition are always excellent as in this image. |
