Good shot of the heron with it's catch. I like the composition with the curved piece of wood enclosing the two of them. If you were to crop, I would suggest only a small amount along the bottom. You had a good catch, too. |

Hi Shaikh, I have only worked with Mylar one time. It was to catch warped reflections of a table top collection. I think you improved the image by removing the white spots in the frame. The sunflower has good focus and is interestingly framed by the Mylar. |

Sweet, sweet little kitty. Hope you will post another picture now that he has grown and is most comfortable in his new life. Converting to B&W arouses my sympathy and was a good choice. Black, white and gray did it; plus the bedraggled appearance and sad eyes.

Great photo, the lighting is superb! I especially like the little "whiskers" under the beak. You did improve the background as was suggested. Great focus, as well. Another winning image. |

Jesse, I like the color in the center of the flower. Excellent focus as well. You have a nice blurred out background. To me it looks as though you took this photo on a bright sunny day. The bottom petals show shadows. I think the sun bleached out the petals and the reflection of the blue sky gave the bluish tone to them. Maybe? But if a 16 year old photo you were making good pictures even then. |

John, You did well with exposure, color is good and composition is excellent. A day to remember. As for sharpness....not so good. It looks to me, as though the sharp focus is on the back of the bench the boys are sitting on. |

I flipped this image as Lisa and Murphy suggested. They also, as you, suggested to darken the edges. |

Very well done. You have given us an example of what can be done in post processing. Not to mention the less than ideal conditions you were photographing under. You are a hearty photographer. I see lovely wing patterns and good color in this image. Thank you for sharing a less than perfect original photograph. |

Lisa, Your poppy is perfect! The muted background is so complimentary in keeping with the colors of the poppy. Blue and green work well together. Composition and lighting are right on. If I were to do focus stacking the Olympus E-M1X would be my way to go. Excellent! |

Greetings Neil, I am continuously amazed by your focus stacking images. This month's moth is absolutely amazing with the detail shown. The entire image is very well done with fine focus, plain gray background, lighting and the orange stroke around the composition. Excellent! |

Hi Murphy, Spring and magnolias, a good combination. The background for this blossom is perfect. I really like the softness of muted green. Just at the base of the flower the background has a bit of yellow to it which I find very complementary. I see good focus and a nice placement in the frame. Very nice. |

Hi, We may have attended some of Mike Moats workshops together. Interesting guy. The buttons in my image are from my mother's collection. I like your composition, the focus is really sharp. I particularly like the object in the upper right of the frame where the zig-zag pattern is pronounced. Good lighting. |

Unusual subject! The orange of the carrot is nicely complemented by the blue background. Good focus. My first thought when looking at the image was to flip it upside down. But then again, if you think of it as a hand then it is presented correctly with the fingers up. It's in the eye of the beholder. |
