Vivid colors in an unknown plant (to me). Good flower choice with some of blossoms in full flower and others not open as yet. If cropping, I would not remove the lower leaf all together. I might work on the background a little to blur it more. I can see the faint outlines of branches? The flower itself is in good focus. |

Such nice work isolating the orchid from the background. Good focus and lighting. I also like the composition with the orchid in a semi-sideways position. That is a bit unusual which make this image unique. Great! |

Precious....Your creative idea worked out perfectly. I wish Wally's puppy eyes were a little more visible. It looks to me as if he is looking up with sad expression on his face. Sweet! |

Another great bird image. You do very well, with focus and composition. Cropping? I wouldn't do very much, particularly along the sides. |

Yipes, I glad I am looking at the photo rather than being a part of the action. You did well with focus, interest, color and lighting. Very nice action shot. |

Hi John, Nice action shot which tells a story. I think your cropping was done well. The facial expressions on the two front players is priceless. I would leave the third player in the photo but surely would like to remove the yellow shoe. Good work with great focus for a fast moving activity. |

Hi Stephen, My terra-cotta warrior stands 8 inches tall. He is standing in front of a ceramic vase.
Thanks for your comment. So nice you check different groups; it is an interesting and learning experience. |

Greetings Neal, February must be "lily month" with three varied images presented. I particularly like the narrow stroke surrounding the image, works well with the dark background. Again you have superb focus aided by Helicon focus. Patience and skill required. Perhaps you would be
inclined to appreciate the image more if it were cropped some. It might remove some of the, in your words, chaos. |

Hi Pat, Very nice close-up, they are allowed. Good placement in the frame and I like the bit of purple at the rear of the butterfly which corresponds with the purple flower at the front. Great hand-held focus. And a nice soft background. Good work. |

Hi Murphy, Great B&W conversion. The photo really pops. The raindrops add interest. You picked a grouping of five which is a good uneven number. Fine focus and composition, I really like your work. |

Welcome to Macro Group 63, Madhu. I am looking forward to your images direct from India. Perhaps some different flowers or insects than in the USA. The molting spider is impressive with the sharp focus you have attained. I like the composition with the leaf being in the upper left corner of the frame, the focus (on the leaf) is not bothersome to me. As Murphy suggested a stroke around images with a dark background helps with determining where the black website interface begins. Very nice work. |

Hi Lisa, You are doing well with your high-key images. Well focused and attention grabbing. I see good composition especially with the leaf being on an angle. I like the transparency of the leaf showing the critter's upper extremity. As Murphy suggested I think toning down the outer part of the leaf would work well. |

Hi Rosa, I am in agreement with the comments regarding all the stamens being in focus. I do agree the stigma is a wonderful royal blue color. It looks regal and if surrounded by in focus stamens it would make an impressive photograph. |
